Why hasn't CCP addressed this yet? There is no counter measure to someone AFK cloaking a system for days except to decloak once a day for a kill. There should be a counter measure!!!

Your counter measure should be warping fast.
That, and hope the sucker is AFK at the time of your arrival. ____________________________________

No, I am asking why there is not a counter measure to decloak, or perhaps a pop-up that makes the cloaker interact to stay cloaked. I really want to hear constructive conversation on this. Moving systems is not always possible, neither is working in groups, etc. I just think there should be some way to level the playing field, just like all the other weapons/strategies in the game.

Cloakers phear them .. online your cyno jammers .. don't undock .. wait for local to vanish and .. well you never know they are there until you do a lock down of a system for 30mins and then hit F10 to check the map ;0
Seriously, cloaking ships?
CCP, nothing to see here, move along to do 'real work' please ;0

Fit your 'ratting ship' with a warp jammer, have a friend 'cloak' too when the so called '24/7 afk' cloaker uncloaks > warp jam > buddy uncloaks > dead afk'r..

The obvious solution is to make a pve server.
Once it's made you should go there and leave the rest of us alone.

Translation of OP:
"What are they doing in MY system? Why do they have to come to MY system? What are they doing here? I can't gank them! Why? Marsha Marsha Marsha!!!!!!!!"
Best solution to this problem is to get rid of local, so you don't know they are there.
Even the freaking carebears would like to see no local in 0.0.

What would you guys think about an anchorable device that must be inside a POS? A device that uses fuel of some kind or another to send out a one time omni-directional pulse throughout the entire system that decloaks everyone, friend and foe alike. Toss in a cooldown timer and a one per system limit count on these devices.
Would this be an acceptable compromise?
With a cooldown timer it would prevent spamming the device. Plus anyone who is hiding in the system cloaked could simply reactivate their cloaking device.

lol.
We get our own share of afk cloakers. But other than spending a few mins asking around to find out what the person is flying when I log on, it's business as usual.
Seriously OP. If you're afraid of dying or losing your ship, you shouldn't be in null sec. Fly something smaller, clone jump to something with cheaper implants, and go kill something. --
EVE is about balls, brains, and paranoia. SP comes in a distant fourth place. |

The best way to make this problem go away is to nerf local.
Local should not give intel to AFK cloakers!
Remove local now!!!

Well, this is only one of 2 intelligent replies. Guess it was too much to ask the Keyboard Cowboys here to try and answer with something other than "go back to Hisec".. oh well, it was worth a shot. Once again, you dumba**s prove that you really don't have to be that smart to play Eve. Now flame away LOL.....
