The market was indeed running much smoother / faster last night. I was impressed. However, the poster above has me worried - is the market browser filtering out orders that it should not??

Medium Energy Burst Aerator I Blueprint
This appears to have not been seeded in the Domain region, and quite possibly others.
All other Energy Weapon Rigs were present on the market.

I just want to state that it was not fixed by downtime. I assume it is a clientside problem, since it get the orders but filters them inappropriately.
Example, i have all the standard minerals in my market quickbar. Tritanium, pyerite, ... all the way to morphite.
Some times, the market display is correct. Sometimes it is not. The previously described workarounds still work.
If I for example jump between the minerals: first trit, then mex, then back to trit, the trit does not always display correctly.
My filter settings are not special. A simple price deviation filter on buy and sell, along with a 'ignore low/null' orders filter.

Looks like I'm screwed this time - can't download the full client without CRC errors, and can't manually patch the Steam client without an invalid patch error.
Last time I was offline for nearly a month - will see how long it takes to get back on this time; but I'm thinking its totally borked.

Originally by: SrA JTS I'm running XP x64, and when i went to install the new patch, everything downloaded fine, but at install time, my computer became stalled at the "DX9" stuff at the very beginning of the install.
Anybody else having issues with XP x64 ?
Currenty re-downloading client, which sux cuz it's way huge now.
I run WinXP Pro 64 and have had no problems with the patch.
I must just be extremely lucky then, because I'm running two separate computers that ran the old patch like champs. However yesterday, both computers (one XP x64 and the other XP x32 - updated with the most recent updates/drivers before CCP's wonderful new patch) dazzled me with every Windows user's best friend, BSOD... Can I get a woo woo !!
Coincidence you say! Well perhaps, but let's examine this: Both computers (XP x64 and XP x32) were running superbly before CCP's stunning demonstration of "how to deploy a patch right, the first time!"
Now, the only thing that changed was the new patch.
So if everything was running hunky dory before CCP made changes, and if after applying CCP's new patch I was treated to the visual ecstasy which is BSOD, common sense would say that, most likely, the thing that changed was at fault.
Now I know, I have a better chance of hitting the Lotto than getting CCP to admit their code corrupted my OS on two separate, unrelated computers. Heck, I'll even admit that two BSODs on two different computers, running two different versions of XP may well have been coincidence... that is sure one heck of a long shot though.
I'm feeling lucky, think I'll play the Lotto
Even after taking the time to back up all my sensitive data, I'm a bit concerned that the cause of my BSOD on two different computers, on two different versions of XP was the CCP patch.
If EVE kills my hard drives, it's really gonna suck having to install two OSs from scratch
Damn you CCP and your action packed, amphetamine fueled visual orgy of a game... EVE !!

I can't even get this game to patch builds without messing up and telling me to reinstall the client. Ever since apochrypa came out.... DL build, build is corrupt, reinstall client, get crc error or another cryptic message of failure.... DL client multiple times, get various errors.... seemingly at random one of the install attempts works.... days wasted that I've paid for.... Play fine until the next build.... rinse, repeat. I'm DLing the client now for the 2nd time since the 1.5 patch.

Well, at least there hasn't been a repeat of the Unholy Trinity fracas... That fun little episode (and the ú40 repair charge) is the reason why I won't be patching till sunday, just to be safe. Hi,
Just experienced first FW, faction warfare kill after the patch.
I did NOT receive the ship kill in my combat Log. The pod did show up.
There is no doubt, confirmed by my game log that th eship went down and I was only other person there.
15 minute slater I did receive the LP points for kill in my Journal.

I know its already been mentioned once, but just to ensure it doesn't go un-noticed:
- LP for killing direct (i.e. Minmatar vs Amarr) militia war targets are not being shared amongst the parties on the kill mail, only the pilot laying the final blow gets LP. All other pilots were of course on grid (being on the kill mail )

Fromo what i am noticing, my drones are attacking the friendly ships that i am repping. The same goes for fighters if they are assigned to other people.
I take it this is a bugg, or a new feature that i havnt noticed before...

I've only seen two minor issues since the patch deployed:
# When looking at the "Variations" on an item/ship/whatever, the Tech II icon (the orange one) seems to lag behind the scrolling, ending up either out of place or just disappearing altogether.
# The scroll wheel on the mouse doesn't work in any windows, only when zooming in/out in space. |

In the patch notes it says this: Graphics The Gallente, Amarr and Serpentis control towers have had a graphical makeover and will now display the correct model, shade and textures. In addition, warping in and out to the tower when modules are being anchored will now display the model correctly.
But my control tower is still sideways in space. See pic

If anyone is still struggling to get Eve installed and working since the patch here is what finally worked for me:
Download the 88737 build from Clicky
Once installed start Eve without patching and allow it to autopatch (I know the autopatcher sucks but I twice attempted and failed with the manual patch before I tried auto for this version).
Before this I had downloaded and reinstalled over 10 times using all 3 methods and 3 different versions and every time it was the same "CRC error" or "Corrupt Install" garbage that forces people to download up to 20GB in order to apply a 20MB patch every patch day.
1. Completely remove Eve from your puter. 2. Restart 3. Download the 88737 install from the above link. 4. Install 5. Start Eve and allow it to run the autopatcher. 6. Restart 7. Hopefully have fun until the next patch day.
This is what finally worked for me and hopefully it will help a few more of you.

C:\Users\USERsname\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility\settings I just copied the files in the directory mentioned, from my old machine to my new machine and a fresh install of EVE; now, the fresh install of EVE gives me an error when I try to run it:
Your EVE client installation may have modified, damaged or corrupted files. Please re-install the game client. Bad manifest signature, timestamp "2009.08.14 13:59:00", expected "2009.02.25 10:35:34"
The files moved have to do with character settings and preferences, which I am trying to copy from one machine to another. I run Vista Ultimate 64. The reason I was moving these files is because on my new machine with a fresh install of EVE, I have no sorting folders set up in my People & Places for my addressbook and bookmarks - just a big, messy list of people and places! Upon copying the relevant files and attempting to launch EVE again, I received the message above in italics.
This error prevents EVE from launching. How to get rid of this error? Re-installing EVE will take a couple of hours on this connection, and it will simply get rid of the settings files I want. Halp.
Edit: EVE works just fine if I used the (Safe Mode) version in the EVE directory, just not the usual exe.
I do not think this is an actual Apocrypha-specific issue, but more an installation issue. I do not know how to fix it short of reinstalling EVE, which, as stated, would not fix the issue of not having my people & places sorted. -- "Quite possibly the nicest person who'd ever want to kill you." |

Two issues regarding sound
#1 Sound still frequently disappears altogether and I have to zoom out and back in to hear the explosions hitting my ship (old problem)
#2 I now have a permanent gate humming while in space regardless of whether I am near a gate or not. This is new |

Yes, had the same problem and message. - Thats when you edit or delete stuff in them folders. I implemented the FW experimental fix some weeks ago. That made that root or file invalid. - No way around to reinstall just the client. All settings and preferences should be not effected then.
Oh and ... very good job on fixing the FW lag CCP, had not even a module lag so far in larger engagements. |

Not sure that is new? I've had a similiar problem for quite a while - where somewhere on the long trips to Jita I pick up the constant gate hum that hangs around in warp / station etc. To clear I usually hit ESC to bring up the options menu, go to the sound tab, tick off sound, tick it back on again, then exit the menu. That seems to clear it.
