I don't think people expect someone that's built like I am to be able to about match the acceleration of a motercycle to 40km/h, especially on a mountain bike.
O.o
Off topic:I thought about getting a motorcycle in order to get back and forth to work today, so I looked into it. I thought "Oh, I can get a brand new bike and all sorts of training and it will still be a lot less than a car, AND get much better gas mileage." I then proceeded to look at the fatal motorcycle crash rates and wimp out.
On topic: Going that fast on a mountain bike is not something I think I would want to try, personally (as far as 95 km/h goes). I do indoor cycling a good bit, it puts me next to women AND it gets me in shape. Win-win. |

at summer camp in the Adirondacks we did some big road downhill one of the kids had a bike computer think he said we hit something like 48mph. as a kid used to go nearly everywhere on a bike. just watched the other week really makes me want to get back on a mountain bike http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xA6YqjHSMvQ
lately I've been playing a bunch of disc golf. weather has been amazing lately nice to just get out and play. bunch of free courses so it is a pretty cheap habit too (at least around here).
racquetball is also a ton of fun.
also do a bit of TaeKwonDo, cardio, balance, flexibility, and hitting people. |

I live in London so try to walk as much as possible saves money and burns calories, you do need to plan trips in advance if you have a long way to go. EVE Racing event thread:-áhttps://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=107164&find=unread

Confirming that I was born with joints that pop in the morning.
I'm not so sure it's a sure sign of arthritis or any other ailments... |

After that sucks though because then you want nothing more than to get laid but it's 112 degrees and there are no women *Edit: Realized a few people here wouldn't know a PKM from a glock so here it is, the 2nd most horrifying sound you can hear from our current enemy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTaHejAdF-4

I Like to drive 45 minutes to the rockies out here in colorado, so I can spend the next 8 hours hiking around the old abandoned mines at 13-14,000 feet, not only does it work the **** out of your legs, you're forced to pace yourself, ie: work harder, slower, in order for your body to be able to pull the oxygen it needs.
All in order to scout a spot for the years elk season. |

My favorite exercise is scuba diving. Amazing and kind of trippy stuff, being weightless and able to breathe under water. But my actual daily exercise is commuting to Manhattan. Involves hiking .75 miles each way, through dense vehicle and pedestrian traffic, plus various gaseous emissions. Not sure if this exercise is lengthening my life expectancy or shortening it. |
