Edited by: Lodoss on 22/08/2009 23:36:29 So i read on the forums that these mission would be hard for the tank.
I setup max tank on my dommi:
2x LAR 1x DCU 4x Armor Hardener
And i get toasted in a mather of a min!?!? For example i'm running the mission showtime atm and encounter a group of elite bs.
I just can't crack this group, i have to run before i can kill any of them :(
Anyone has any tips or tricks for me please?

Maybe replace the Damage Control for an Amarr EANM. How are your skills? I've never tried these missions, but you may need to bring a friend or two to help with DPS.

I have been running the Minmatar missions so far, and they definitely can be more challenging for a ship than your average L4. I think you need to do more DPS to get the incoming damage down some. I have been running them in a Dominix and a Nighthawk and they have gone well so far. They definitely challenge my tanks a lot - about like running L4 AE Bonus Room.

The rewards are decent. The fun thing is that so many different skills are required. These are really missions for experienced Eve players. Hacking out an item before the enemy fleet can blow you up was a nice change of pace. There have been a couple of other interesting twists and turns as well.

I am using an ishtar to do them. Not sure if I have done the Showtime one yet.
I put a decent armor tank on it, high resistances and 1600 plate - but the main tank is transversal speed.
If rats spawn on top of me, I kill the web frigs first if there is any, gain distance with AB and get transversal velocity up.
Without webbing frigs the ishtar seems a reasonably safe coice for these missions, with webbing frigs things can get hairy. Does the showtime mission have webbing frigs in it? If no, you might try an ishtar instead of the domi.

The missions are easy to tank no harder then lvl 4's. The only semi hard one is the very last mission. The hardest part is the cap drain but I passive shield tanked to get around that. My shields never dropped below 70-80% apart from the last mission that went down to 30-40%. There are not many ships in the last mission but they seem to hit twice as hard. If you active tank make sure you kill the cruisers first and fast. On the last mission ShowTime don't just sit there, move at full speed.
