was just wondering if anyone else has noticed a bug with this mission. i was running lvl against blood raiders like dozens of times before, solo in my golem. last spawn in cam and my cap went to 0 in 5 secs, then 4 frigs scrammed me and i saw my tank go in less than 15 secs. i then went in my passive cane and watched as they wiped it out in less than 5 secs. there were only 5 b/ships 5 frigs and a couple cruisers left to kill..seems a bit too much dps to receive from so few ships. any one else had this issue

Sounds about right - depending on what ships spawn they can hit very hard.
...this doesn't even seem to be a regular case of rats fleeing the sinking ship. Seems more like the rats are on fire, the ship is on fire, and the sea is full of drunk Russians. - Jacob Etienne |

that is why I take the frigs out first, and then go for the nosing cruisers.

You have a small chance of a faction spawn, probably that is what happened.

Or you flew right into the centre of where they all spawn, all the Blood BS neuting you, and you died. Blood BS neuting is hardcore, don't get in 25km range of them.

I had a can flipper buzzing my blockade with bloods the other day. As I have a good tank which can handle 2 spawns, I shot the trigger ship so had 11 battleships + over 20 cruisers/frigates while alligned to jump out for when the can flipper came back. I suspect that their cov ops came back cloaked and saw what I had waiting and bugged out as they went on to bug another mission runner. All that incoming dps vs em/therm and the apoc shrugged it off easily with shields holding about 55% - but the Apoc should be armor tanked I hear.
The bloods can run heavy neut/nos. Even without 2 spawns I've had what looked like 9 ships dropping my cap before. They dont do much dps damage, its just that active tanking needs cap, and no cap can mean a dead ship. Still they are relatively easy. I run a Navy Apoc and ishtar, with the apoc generaly getting the agro. The ishtar has no gunnery skills and about 2 mil in drone skills, the apoc has about 2 mil in gunnery and < 1 mil in drones. I've still killed 14.1 mil in bounties in a 20 min wallet entry so its not too bad on dps for rubbish skills with T1 weaps/ammo/sentries.
If one line of attack fails, develop another. Nos can mean death for active tanking, so develop a solution for just such times.

This is one mission where I will fit a cap booster on my CNR. They make it tough on you by having the damn NOS'ing ship be the one that usually triggers the next group.

You telling about 5 monsignor/harbringer/other NOS blood BS resp in the end. If you will be not lucky - they can suck you dry in seconds. That the same thing as permajamm in Guristat missions.

i understand about the cap drainage from teh b/ships and so on.but as i said, i have run this mission same way dozens of times before and this is first time i have ever had my cap and tank go so quick from so few ships.i just wondered if in recent patch maybe they had toughened the mission a little? i guess either way there is no way ccp will accept this anyother way apart from me being owned by npc's. just goes to prove i should not have been trying to carebear while bored trying to find wh with other account on other computer.
