drake, it does a better job & is way cheaper.
t3 ships are fail tbh. WIS is an expansion which allows EVE players to wear leather and walk around stations.
Dust514 is a console shooter/rts which will tie into EVE and affect sov. |

I would probably put it in station and spin it. I'm to addicted to my zealot to concider another cruiser tbh.

Um, but what subsystems are you using? I mean, the point of T3 is that you get 5 different slots to plug additional bonuses into, which can lead to some really exotic abilities.
Being gallente specialized, i've got plans for a proteus layout.
Also, this probably belongs in 'Ship Fittings' forum section.

That's a Max-DPS PvE fit, tank looks fairly decent but could be better
Whoever set that up probably hasn't actually tried it though, just put it together in EFT

I can only see the Anti-Bubble subsystem being epic. Good for annoying 0.0 camps. Solo exploration good too will replace my exploration Myrmidon soon, but hard to fit all the modules I need and have enough DPS left over for 0.0 complex rats.

Bubble immunity with cov ops cloak and scan bonuses make it a kickass scout, if they were to fix the issue stopping it from providing a covert cyno it would be the ultimate infiltration ship :)

PVP: Prober, Scout, Heavy Tackler Tech-III ships with the above configuration and a plex-fit tank (some argue that spending this much ISK on a T3 ship is insane; I digress ... it's a billion-ISK ship ... if you can afford it, turn it into the 'best in show') are also awesome heavy tacklers in Empire and Low-Security. Pushing 85% or more resistances, with the proper rigs and a plex rep ... can achieve a 600HP/4sec rep.
So you have a dedicated prober, scout, and heavy tackler all-in-one.

And yes, there are those of us out there who can afford to do just that, take it into harms way with a sh*t-eating grin, and laugh during the aftermath (having lost it or survived is irrelevant).

The loki makes an excellent super rapier and an even better t3 vaga. Both setups will significantly outperform the t2 ship but alas the price point is still heavily in the t2 ships favor. Maybe when a completly built t3 ship hits a half bil it might be isk effecient but until then its a playtoy of the rich.

I would only consider using a t3 cruiser for pvp or exploration. but as someone else said the price is still a bit high for that.
lv4 pve is much better done in a battleship imo.
I'm running out of things to train, think I might do marauders 5 next, and not even thinking about training for t3 yet

Edited by: Benco97 on 25/08/2009 01:16:52 I use my loki for pretty much everything now. It's my sniper ship, my up-close DPS ship, my probing ship, my WH ship and my spinning in the station ship.
Now if only there was a way to configure it to do the job of the Orca, I'd never need to change ship again.
Edit- I'd say it's also my gang boosting ship but no matter how I try, although I can come up with at least PASSABLE fits for any other role I just cannot find a gangmod fit that I feel happy with

I've got one set up for much the same usage.

Well they do make pretty fun cloaking haulers. Throw on a bunch of cargo expanders...some shield extenders (just in case).
I mean not that'd I'd do anything like that. *hides hauler-Legion*

Yeah, because everyone doesn't have the isk to fly t3 for pvp/doesn't pvp/flies with their AAA megagang around being awesome.
You're a superelitist that think you are the most awesome eve player ever.
Certain complexes are cleared easier/faster with a t3 than a t1/2 ship, and sometimes people just want a change, so gtfo with your "omgyoumustpvpifyourshipisabovetechlevelone" bull****

That's what I would say, in fact :) Often better than CS (for pve), not very skill intensive...

Bubble interdiction nullifier and cloak = ace deepspace raider. DPS is good, but not magnificent. Decent for the occasional miner or non-macro ratter, or doing some exploration in enemy space.
There are too many uses to enumerate in just 1 thread.
