If someone reps someone you are aggressed to are you not allowed to shoot them?
Last I heard if you assist someone engaged in hostile activities you make yourself a valid target to the person fighting.

false, if they rep a target that is performing hostile actions on you, whether a wartarget or not, then it is perfectly fine to shoot them __________________________________________________________

Problem is it doesn't give them an aggro timer, so if they start to take enough damage, they can just dock/jump. All the while the target that they're repping isn't being shot and is still shooting you. WT BS plus neutral logistics is very irritating to deal with.

wartargets are NOT flagged. Therefore they do not transfer to the repairing ship. You can repair a ship netural to you that is fighting with a war dec and the other part cannot fire at you!
Pretty stupid mechanics that must be changed because makes high sec wars a 90% metagame field.

wardecs are a game mechanic added to game, valid and as worthy as low sec or 0.0 fights, Only dumb people would give an answer like "dont use the game mechanic if you don 't like the fact a bug is being exploited"

war targets are flagged as war targets, so yes aggro does transfer.
you do know when you try to rep someone who is at war it gives you a nice little warning saying if you rep them the other side can fire at you.

They are flagged, it's not a bad mechanic. Reason it isn't is that there's simply no way around it. Parrots, commence!

erroneous!!!
If you rep a neutral, engaged in a hostile actions against another player, that player may shoot you regardless. Yes you can dock up, but that effectively removes you from the action.
again OP, deal with it (shoot back). Bring enough friends to handle neut reps.

Holy crap there are some terrible pilots whining in this thread.
- Person A has a war with Person B. - Person A attacks Person B. - Person B returns fire. - Neutral Alt Person C reps Person B. - Person C IS A VALID TARGET FOR PERSON A NOW!!!! - Person A - who is not a complaining NOOB - switches primaries and fires on Person C. - Person C docks. - Person A who is not brain dead switches back to original primary - person B.
Also note - person A is free to have his friends rep him with the exact same consequences.
Welcome to pvp folks. You have to change targets once in a while - and you need to be prepared to have your own logistics.
Low sec pirates get the added joy of getting GCC and sentry fire for repping their friendly oulaws. We're used to it - we don't gripe about it - learn from us.

if remote repair triggered the docking timer, we wouldnt have these issues.
Half the time the logistics docks because they can, and then just undock 30 seconds later. On larger targets is very hard to pop the station hugging scumbag before his cookie cutting war dec tard freind undocks again.
Now if the RR triggerd the station timer the attackers might actually have a chance to kill the RR guy (like it SHOULD be)

Don't fight at stations. Fight at gates or elsewhere. At a gate if he jumps out after you shoot him and come back he'll spawn 12/15km from gate and you should be able to kill him. -- 081014 : emoragequit, char transfered to a friend, 090317 : back to original owner blog |

It's lame, but this is eve. Unless it is a blatant exploit (and this isn't) it's all part of the game. (until a GM says otherwise, then it becomes 'that which shall not be said')

cared to try at least? You noticed that the guy does not blink, makign hard to perceive him? Notice that if he had repair bots on the war target before the agro this doe snot work? You tried to fire how many times lately? Notice how many times concord BUG out and comes anyway to blow you? Yes because they come a lot of times (at least 1 in 10 times)! You take time to notice that? Theory is different than practice.

Good idea because Person C always flies T1 failfitted cruisers and nothing like a Logistic (i heard they are very slow, have a huge signatur and thus easy to hit) or a dominix ...
C/D?
In my opinion: if person C don't is at war with person A, it should be handled like a criminal act, at least "not sanctioned with this yulai-thingie" ...
Flame on!
Edit: Did they fiexed the forums? nice ...

If I was trying to argue your point, I would have also left out person C undocking and repping all the damage you did to person B.

Im kinda unsure of the pvp mechanics , but ive come across this , where someone joins in and reps my opponent.
When this happens as stated the repper becomes a valid target for me to attack, but ive never attacked him, thinking he will then be allowed to open fire on me.
Is my thinking incorrect and am i allowed to fire on the repper without him being allowed to fire on me .
eg. someone steals from me i open fire on the thief, and a neutral or corp mate repps him

If you shoot the reppers they can shoot you back.
Also, the agro IS bugged:
Persons A and B are in corp 1. Person C is in corp 2. Corp 1 and Corp 2 are at war. Person A and C shoot each other. Neutral person D reps person C. Person B CANNOT shoot person D, because he wasn't actually shooting person C at the time D repped him.
