Tbh, i dont knbow why u are happy with that...
i guess u are able to view all battles and have some fun WEs, but paying members not...
a company ccp should be able to stream at least the videos after recording via torrents...
youtube is crap quality in my eyes, even with HD...
whatever, im 4.5y in eve and with every tournament, i get more and more pi..ed !!!
thnx for run a tournament for free at least...

No offense, and I've said this the last few years, the "radio" version of the Alliance Tournament is useless until the commentators stop jabbering about bull****, and actually REPORT what's going on on screen. Half the time they're talking about past fights WHILE a fight is going on. On the "radio" I want to hear blow by blow what the hell is going on on screen.
What they do is fine for VIDEO, as we can SEE what's going on, so their patter can be about anything.
Hopefully the first 2 weekends will be up on the You Tube channel soon.
I don't mind them not being "live" as the live streams tend to be poorer quality, but I hope you guys do a REAL full rez copy to you tube or some other host. 1920x1200 and so on so we can actually SEE WTH is going on.

dont expect to much, as they double team strenghs, so even more stress for recording machine...
why u think they do that on youtube?
they have enough bandwidth to share, but quality? a joke...
btw, i hope we dont get their commentary on those video clips and could listen to plain+pure sound effects...

If I remember correctly, isn't it quite expensive to stream the alliance given the bandwidth required - hence they reserve it for the final weekend.
As long as a decent quality Youtube feed is put up fairly quickly then I'm happy enough. I'm not going to bother with the audio version - I'd prefer to wait and watch it without knowing who'll win.

I love radio.... vs TV of course. But not so much vs Internet videos. Obviously perhaps there are money or technological problems we don't know.

Come on Soundwave, its not like you have to setup a whole show to broadcast the matches, it should be what would draw extra attention to the tourney!
when will you begin to upload the matches to CCP's youtube channel again - as last year even matchday 1 was uploaded?
best regards,

I have never used them for streaming, only static files (which get upto 150Mbps and average 18TB a month), but SimpleCDN has fixed-cost streaming (ie. you pay for the connections) regardless of bitrate. It can't be the only service out there with the same pricing scheme.

It's a lot harder than you think it is. We've all grown up watching news & events on television; radio announcement is largely a lost art/technology.

Goes to show you have no ****ing clue. We hated AT 6 also because you **** stains pulled the same bull****. Since you seem to be such a nublet perhaps you should explain the setup from AT 1-5? Yet you wonder why I flame GM's and DEV's in my petitions? Well there's a clue for you.

I don't even care if they're broadcast live. As long as I can download the matches and watch them, i'm happy. It's not like it's a sporting event. I'm not really worried about who wins. I just want to watch the matches.
So CCP, any ETA on when the first days matches will be available for viewing? I don't see anything on Youtube yet.

Sry I'm going to heavy handed and tel you go back to your corner and sit @#!!# down and shut up about things you know little to nothing about.
Same goes for all the other angry spoiled children, or the adults acting like them...
I'm sure if you offered to donate the money they'd be willing to run a video stream... How expensive can it be, youtube only operates at a 1/2 billion dollar a year loss....

Well, it had to happen sooner or later with the Eve "box" sale. I assume those who are yelling FAIL were not playing during AT6, because.... wait for it........ It's The Same Format! (at least for the video/commentary).
Video usually comes out the night of the match.
Played some other MMO's and Eve is by far FULL OF WIN in comparison.

Originally by: Steelzen Edited by: Steelzen on 05/09/2009 18:05:14 you might as well pack up CCP, go play boardgames and listen to the radio circa 1930's.
quick fun fact, since you like numbers, video (aka tv) is circa 1923.
Also there are several thriving EVE related radio stations and EVETV at one point went under due to funding issues... wonder which one is more viable...

Kendrix Arathan since you seem to be such a pathetic little tool. I will clarify.
The first television sets where created prior to the 1930's and prior to your date of 1923. The origins of television can be traced back to the 1870's if you want to be anal which you apparently enjoy. However the point I was making, which apparently escaped your feebly mind, is that television sets where not readily available to the public at affordable prices until after WWII. Prior to that time board / card games and radio shows where the primary means of entertainment. Last I checked it is 2009. We have the internet and I am paying to play an internet game. Which prior to AT6 showed the matches as they happened.

What about an option for spectators at the tourny 'in game'?
Obviously local lag and such would have to be considered. But perhaps CCP could make it so people were not actually in system but simply an option to view the tourny matches? Minimal readout on ship specifics and details would be fine, even a global static overlay that no one has the ability to customize might work.
Just an idea. Would be cool to watch the tourny in game even if it was not like flying to a system and warping to the beacon to watch. Just a 'view only' option to allow me access to a camera drone or something would be sweet.
