Edited by: Jerax Torles on 09/09/2009 22:14:42 Edit your skills that are training in the training queue via a web interface accessible from a standard web browser and a mobile browser. That would be cool. The most obnoxious part of Eve is leaving your character for a few days and either forgetting to queue up some skills, or leaving only quick skills in. Thoughts? Again, probably already suggested but, eh. If so, delete this.

Well, CCP wants you to actually log in an play the game. Getting the skill queue took like 6 years.
Maybe we'll see something like web based skill management with COSMSO: Linkage 1; Linkage 2

The usual argument against a web interface to update the training queue is that it would be very easy to write a bot to use the web interface and totally control your queue.
I agree.
Besides, the web interface was needed when there was no queue.

Thats no reason imo. You still pay for the game.

I agree, we still pay for the game, doesn't matter if we're in the game. If I'm paying for 30 days for 15 bucks, Im ganna use that whole 30 days.
I do however agree that it would be difficult making a web interface and have bots not work on it. Either way, a webinterface for it would be sweet. So, because of the whole bot problem, I can see why it would be a no.

somewhere on this board a ccp dev stated flat out that changing your skills and queue will be a function of cosmos, along with the ability to trade on the market and other stuff. and since cosmos is being started with dominion your suggestion comes a few years too late. on the brighter side you don't have to wait years to see "your" suggestion implemented.
i'd love to post a link but i can't for the live of me remember if it was in a devblog, interview or random thread reply that i read this. "Misina Arlath
GIRL = Guy In Real Life MMORPG = Many Men Online Role Playing Girls." |
