I'm a dedicated T2 frig pilot and I thought a Harpy might be fun to try. Been flying it about 10 days, both the blaster and rail variants, and I'm getting my ass kicked every time I undock (strange because I consider myself a more than competent AF pilot when flying Minnie/Gal AF's) I could really use some fitting/tactical advice for flying this ship solo. Thank you.

I use 4 neutron blaters(anti matter), 1 rocket launcher, mwd, warp scrambler(if u have to tackle), 2 mag field stabs all tech 2 stuff. costs about 25-30 mil depending and works very well.

How the heck are you fitting neutrons on there? Even fitting ions I'm having to give up something, and I have max fitting skills. Can you show me your exact fit?

4xLight neutron blasters 2 1xRocket Launcher 2
1mn MWD Warp Scrambler
2x Magnetic field stabs
Obviously there's not defense on this fit. The idea is to get close enough fast enough that they can't hit you due to tracking speed anyways. In evehq with my skills which aren't very good it does over 200 dps

The Harpy is an extremely sub-par frigate. Just fly the Ishkur. Honestly.
PS T2 cruisers are very very fun.

Elaborate please. I tried the rail fit and it's less than half the dps albeit at 20k. All skills set to five. I don't claim to be good at this, just asking :P

The Harpy is an excellent solo ship for above scrambler range engagements. Unfortunately T2 prices and the great demand have made it what in my oppinion is a little bit too expensive for what it does, at least in lowsec where T1 cruisers still can get past most gatecamps easily.
Ishkur is pretty much as good however but drones can be a pain, it also makes for a better close range tackler if you prefer that style of play.
As for T2 cruisers they're still far too expensive for what they do and have been ever since the nano-nerf, then again if money's not a concern or you're a very careful pilot, yes, they can be profitable to PvP with. Other than that, only really useful when you absolutely need the mobility (like the t2 frigates).
