Well..I paid 8 million isk, which made the IEEE the third action sanctioned by CONCORD. The two other corporations involved are the Serene Storm Society, and CareClub (I think...don't have access to the game right now) --

The War between Serene Storm Society and The Commonwealth has come to a natural conclusion.
We left the fray after causing ~650 million isk damage over 59 kills while only losing one ship ourselves.
As far as I know (just being a lowly grunt), Serene Storm Society considers it's part over and is refraining from further interaction with The Commonwealth.

Hmm, well. Quite interesting read that blog. The entry about the new player with the billion isk shows that sociopaths can in fact be kind and helpful. Remarkable ...

I don't thing they are 'wussing out'. The number of actual targets has gone down during their prime time it looks like. They went in it for the hell of it, had their fun, and are gracefully bowing out with a very nice efficiency rating. We'll see if my gentle eve-mail nudge caused any members to check out the forum pages, see what they have gotten enmeshed with, and leave.
Until then, let's see what can be grabbed onto during my investigation. --

Who the hell is breaking the forums!
Anyways, I was curious if the management has kindly supplied the members with names of the corporations current enemies for addressbook listings and if the members have been told to gather safe spots throughout their common systems.
Also curious, given the young age of some, if they've been informed by management to check local and the guest list of their station before undocking.

One of their members has put in corp mail a 45 eve-mail guide. Which is actually rather good. Whether or not any of them have taken the time to read it is another matter. --

Nice work Zedrik, and its a pleasure to read! which is odd cause i hate reading :). I've been in I.C. too when i was not even a week old. And then there was this war with serene storm society... In that war i gave it my all *caugh* and there was 1 guy in SSS that actually said i fought bravely and gave me 20 mil. So for me this was reason enough to see that SSS is not bad at all.
Today i'm in another corp which is a great corp. i'm glad that i left, because i hear IC has a lot of wars going on. omg i even told Joe to do somethign about his big mouth, because it will end up bad! i guess that time has come.

Not to long ago I had a character in the Imperial Commonwealth and am posting on an alternate character in order to keep my current corporation out of this.
Anyhow, I can say for sure that as of just a few days ago the Imperial Commonwealth never had operations of any kind going and when I left no real plans to get any going. No mission groups or mining operations, no pvp groups, in short there was no organized activities of any kind. The tax was just set at 10% slowly leeching from players without giving its members anything in return. I mean really, how can you tax anyone any amount when you don't even attempt to plan basic mining operations, or try to set up a stable source of corp income to benefit its members.
Now not to long ago I sent mails out to every character that was currently in the Imperial Commonwealth listing its many flaws. Of course I got a very angry mail from Joe in response to the mails sent. I did this to try to save its members from getting totally ****ed over and in order for them not to loose a **** load of ISK in pointless wars. Now Imperial Commonwealth does have one redeeming quality, and just this one. A few of its members were exceptionally helpful with giving advice and guidance to new players like myself. This is especially true for a character by the name of Trok Mienal. Last I checked he was a commander in the commonwealth. I am pretty sure that is who you were refering too Zedrik, the person who wrote those guides. I have seen so many people bashing the commonwealth and Joe, when in fact the it is only Joe who people should have issues with.
Most of the members of the commonwealth are nice people who got roped into these stupid wars in one of Joes mass recruitings and are totally innocent. But as said there are a few nice people like Trok Mienal, who in my opinion are only staying there now in order to try to help its members and be a sort of life preserver. At the same time I think if the helpful people just left, the entire corp may just fall apart and that may be whats best. But because the 1-2 helpful people are in fact so kind, I don't see that happening. I don't know how many people have what roles in the commonwealth, but I do think if able, its members would vote Joe out of CEO. So as that has not happened I can only presume that Joe is preventing it by keeping total absolute power over his "commonwealth".
Lets look at the title of his corp for a sec, Imperial Commonwealth. Well both parts are simple. Imperial implies it is lead by a single person that equates to a king or queen. Then if you attach Commonwealth onto it I suppose Joe was going for the idea that his actions, as a sort of king, would benefit the entire group as a whole. However if we look at Joe's actions it is clear that he has not been helping the commonwealth, in fact he is doing nothing but totally ****ing it up. Most of what he has been doing shows he has no idea how the basic game mechanics work, and that he has no real knowledge of any part of the game. And if he does, then we can clearly say that he may be slightly insane and stupid. As the actions he has taken are simply hard to believe. At first look you just have to think he is a troll of some sort and all his posts are just one big joke. But you soon realize that's not the case.
I truly feel bad for the new players he recruits. I do hope they read the many guides Trok has posted for his corp mates. At least then they might not be totally screwed up skill and ship wise by the time Joe is done "advising" them on what they have to do and train.
I really hope that a few of you stronger players, will camp the heck out of Jita 4-4 where he is held up and force him to hand over the corp to someone who has at least half a brain, or dissolve it completely. The way he runs a corporation should be a banable offence.
If any of you made it to the end of my rant, I hope it gives a bit more insight to whats going on. The commonwealth blows.

While that may seem true Joe is the CO of his corp and as a CO he has the responsibility to watch over those who fly his flag. As seen, his behavior has reflected on his corp and the corp now pays the price.

Here's my fail story of Joe.
One day I was on my fresh alt that came out of the $5 steam promotion (this is another alt created just for this post, but I'm sure Joe knows the character name)
I was hanging in jita, minding my own business, doing some purchasing for my mains, when I got a request to open conversation. I was naturally curious, and immediately investigated my convo-er. "Hrm, ex-defi4nt, wonder what kind of fail this guy is up to?" I wondered to myself.
I didn't have to wait long, as the first thing he said was "want to join my corp?". Well, naturally my next thought was "lax corp security, sure!".
Now at this point I should add I hadn't visited the forums in a few days (blasphemy!) and was completely oblivious to my new CEO's eve-fame. I also had no evil intentions, apart from maybe some soft targets for a wardec.
First thing I noticed upon joining the corp was the amazing pile of corp-mail with new-player guides. Trok minal or whatever his name was is truly the good part of this corp, he even messaged me after I left, inviting me to join his newbie mailing list (but now I'm getting ahead of myself).
So I worked on establishing my newbie identity, asked a few distinctly newbie questions without sounding like a total idiot, and explained my knowledge of fittings with a fondness for battleclinic. (really nothing to see here, just regular spy stuff)
I logged off knowing my alt's identity was secure in his new corp.
Well the next day I was bored at work and decided to read the forums. An hour or so, and a half-dozen topics later I was quite impressed at how quickly infamy can spread in eve.
I saw that Joe had already been taken for a few mil by a 'merc' corp and with all the griefing/mercenaries incoming I figured I might as well take my chance now.
I should say that I've never attempted a scam before, I've spent my whole time in eve flying with the same pilots, and we have a pretty good bond of trust. I've never been lacking for isk, but after reading all this stuff on Joe I saw him as the gravy ticket to my new dreadnought.
I considered many options, and finally decided that the 'long game' might end with Joe getting griefed/podded out of existence so I had to make it short.
I went for the classic "magical POS income" scam that I'm sure many of you are aware of.
In my world, reactions could be sold at twice their normal price, materials would come in from a special supplier, and fuel costs? Oh that fuel stuff hardly costs anything, Joe! So I worked out a setup for a large tower, picked some reactions that actually had some decent margins, and cooked up a plan to involve a "friend" (read:alt) in our plan.
Well, an hour or so later, some arguments with myself, and beginning to develop a multiple personality disorder, I had Joe pretty 'hooked'. Or so I thought.
Everything was ready! The reactions purchased, tower structures ready, friend ready to haul stuff, location picked out, defence fleet assembled, all that was required was Joe's contribution.
He was reluctant to contribute upfront, as that would require him removing his +5 implants from the market with broker fees lost. Several options were proposed, as my "friend" got increasingly agitated at the lack of action.
Finally we settled on a deal that would benefit all involved. Joe would provide a special deal to my 'friend' on some implants, and in exchange, my 'friend' would generously allow Joe to only contribute 130m collateral to me.
Well this is where it all went wrong. Gotta tell you again, first-time scammer, don't be too hard on me.
I was happily typing away a response, very comfortable in how things were going, and I hit enter...on the wrong character...
Well I covered it up pretty well, but Joe was suspicious now, and started looking for excuses to not provide the collateral. It ended with him asking me for proof of the purchases, and me leaving corp.
Good on ya Joe, looks like you've almost learned something.

So, all of your other losses due to your incompetent handling of the situation count as no price?
Or, the one other person I could find online and undocked peacefully mining doesn't count?
Or, maybe a badly fit Osprey doesn't count? (The fit is pure comedy. Straight up Honor Tank plus a named damage control. Undersized afterburner. And frigate sized missle launchers.)
Your callous disregard for your corpmates is showing, and will be put on your permanent record as a footnote as it is not strictly against published standards and practices to ignore your corpmates and their losses, it is certainly in poor taste to actually let others know about it. --

Oh, excellent. You spent two hours chasing after one guy in a frigate, outnumbering him, and didn't manage to catch him?
I'm not sure I would be boasting about that too loudly. If you actually think about the situation you may notice that it could possibly show incompetence with respect to the FC (Which I assume was you) and just good sense on the part of the single pilot not to attempt to wade into what I can only assume was a well armed group. But then again I wasn't there. --

One thing that I've noticed from the CEO's in every one of Zed's blogs is that they just cannot figure out the difference between strategic warfare and suicidal stupidity.
