1. Realtime Stockexchange (ingame)!! All those 3rd party Stockexchange markets are way to slow for my taste. So it would be great if CCP could start an ingame Stockexchange where you can buy and sell Shares, Bonds, ....
2. Make this Stockexchange available from the coming COSMOS platform/interface!!

As a trader I would like to see the following:
* Allow export of all items (or only a sub folder) in your quick list, instead of clicking each items separately and clicking export afterwards (or let us compare region prices without external tools for which we need to export first) * a list of completed buy/sell orders would be nice, so you know which stocks to replenish * reports on profit per item would be nice aswell * enable people to pick what ever seller they want, instead of always picking the cheapest OR * mark orders that have been outbid in your orders list * mark your orders in the market view
That's all I can think of for now :), hope you'll be able to get some of the stuff in sometime!

K, since this was titled 'Industrial Expansion' how about giving the miners some love?
Rigs for mining (range/cycle time/yield)
Different mining drones (Light/Medium/Heavy) iirc the normal drones can't mine the bigger ores but it's been a while since I've been in 0.0
A couple more High slots on the Orca, it's an industrial command ship - there are 3 different mining foreman links and 3 high slots, this leaves no space for tractor beams.

Adding sec standing as a collateral option.
So a default on a contract can cause a sec loss. This way there is some form of collateral that a new player can offer on his 5 to 25m loan when he has little else to offer.
ths is not ment to replace reputation, but could be a tool for people that have no reputation yet

Our corp CEO asked me last night what our profit margin on stuff was. I realized that it's very difficult to articulate that easily without tracking a ton of information. Perhaps permit "corp buy and sell orders". These would show up on the buy screen only for corp members (expandable to alliance members perhaps?). Have them have low costs (comparable to the contract system). The problem with the contract system is that it's bulk only. Either I've got 10million trit or I don't. This system would be much more useful to miners and manufacturers who are looking to buy/sell internally without having to set up a somewhat difficult (and not transparent) contract system.

I would like to see the recipient of a contract linked (as in show info) on the contract confirmation step, so that you could actually confirm, that you are contracting to the right character, and not someone with a similar name.

Supply and demands dependant npc goods and facility pricing.
Exhaustible npc supply of items and even bpos. balanced by price and demand ofc.. but where the markets can temporarily run out..
Market order limit "nerf/boost" limit to be per station and lower then current (suggested 150 max), and with corporate market orders boosted to something like 500+.
This potentially a Jita dependancy killer, and more minor hubs possible..
Recycling of T3 products? Maybe just with a rather big loss..
More and better market graph options especially filtering..
Specific request: When placing orders from space a preselected favorite feature would be nice, so you dont get the full region list all the time..
Boost to courier contracts in and along the lines to promote a shipping industry. More placable contracts and a sorting and filtering system showing isk/m3/jump, with sort by ofc..
A trust/standing based collateral calculation. Optional feature to reduce collaterals on couriers with trusted parties..
Storyline / content seeded changes to market prices (npc buy and sell)
To mention some favorites of mine..

thanks guys - epic response :)
Lots of things I figured would be top of the list were, but a few surprises in there to work with too. List is being compiled to be sent to CCP as I type this, altho they have been checking this thread (and the other one I made) as they've been posted to over the last couple of weeks too.
(and yes, I did cut and paste this reply from the other thread, I'm efficient) ----------------------

Create either a special contract type or market section for wholesale. This would be a section where manufacturers can sell to players who wish to buy in huge quantities without having to travel from system to system or region to region to gather up the quantities of certain items...allowing us to spend more time doing more productive things. These sections would have minimum quantities or ISK Values and be exclusively dedicated to the retailers, people who want to sell the items one at a time or use them to manufacture other items. It may be better to create a special contract type called "Wholesale" hence market modifications would likely cause problems at first and result in even more server clogging.
Another reason why i want and other manufacturers want this, is the penny war. We spend enormous amounts of time and money modifying sales orders by .01 so we can get our huge quantities sold. This continual refreshment of the market and constant modifications not only are a pain for us but for the servers as well.
Some features of this feature:
1. For every item on the market add a button on the market detailed view and group view which says "See Wholesale COntracts for this product". The user can click on this which would take him directly to the wholesale contracts list for this particular item.
2. Limit of 1 product per contract. "I would hate to see this turn into a "overstock" where people throw in all their junk together and put a price tag on it. There is already a contract for those."
3. Contract must display cubic meter volume of the entire lot
4. Contract minimum value should be set somewhere around 10 million, regardless of the quantity of items you place there. An additional benefit to this is that these particular contracts section will not be flooded with penny contracts. Since this will be a sectiond dedicated to manufacturers / wholesale buyers and volume sellers/buyers we do not want every single missioner to put in there 5 units of every item they have salvaged or looted. We want this to be big money, big volume trade as the manufacturing market is in real life.
5. Contract will automatically display the UNIT PRICE for the item sold and the % difference between the contract price and average regional price (as you already do on buy and sell orders)
6. Allow the skill Wholesale to govern how many of these contracts you can set up. Each skill level would give you +8. These would be different from regular contracts since its likley many manufacturers will be making a living off these and we would not want to restrict them to 10-15 contracts as they may manufacture dozens of items.

I've seen this mentioned a few times, and it is a horrible idea to change the current system. Imagine tritanium in Jita: since most people buy fairly large volumes, there would be thousands of unfinished sell orders of small amounts of tritanium. You can't sort by location and price, so you would have to scroll through thousands of orders to find the cheapest higher-volume order in your current station. Now imagine the server load when most items on the market have this issue.
The same people calling for this change would be complaining about lag and time wasted looking through so many sell orders.

Edited by: Tiberizzle on 23/10/2009 22:30:17 It'd be nice if there was either a reasonable minimum increment for a buy / sell bid or adjustment (.01*best_offer, sqrt(best_offer)?), or even a stochastic distribution of orders to outstanding bids reasonably close to the offer (again: +/- .01*best_offer, sqrt(best_offer), pick your function). Just think of all the server load that could be shed by driving markets to equibrium more quickly
I would also like to +50 the "move the cancel order button and/or prompt for confirmation". It is very stupid that it confirms your intent to get a great deal, while failing to confirm before you waste ISK on brokers' fees.

Well, tritanium is the cheapest. But I was thinking about eliminating basic materials out of that...but I have no problem with unfinshed sales orders.
Mostly where I would like to see this implemented is high end stuff, rigs, ships, guns, ammo, what you gonna do with 10 million in Phased Plasma M except resell it? There would have to be some sort of system which would prevent people setting up millions of contracts like this. A way to compute minimum requirements in order to sell that good...
For example...for trit you would have a 100 million ISK minimum, for medium rigs 30 million, for large rigs 300 million, for small ammo 5 million, medium ammo 10 million and so on. In order words the minimum wholesale contract value would be directly related to the item's average market value vs its average market volume in the last 6 months.
I disagree with you there. The current system is flawed, resulting in a highly chaotic and uncontroled market, far from reality....like manufacturers always being able to sell under cost without going bankrupt?! They just make less money without realizing it...i could go on and on. The current system needs improvement.

I just thought of another couple.
Fix the input handling so that Shift-Home, Del works 100% of the time in the price textbox. I don't know why it doesn't, but it seems to go to the beginning of the line and ignore the select and delete requests entirely a large portion of the time.
Remove the input restrictions on the price textbox and validate input after submission. I should be able to type a second price and then delete the original price (Shift-End, Del) without input mangling. By dropping the second decimal to occur it manuevers the user towards an erroneous input that can be a factor of 100 times higher than intended. In conjunction with the above issue it disturbingly frequently results in near submission of prices that are the concatenation of the price 100 times higher than intended and the previous price.
