Just A curious question. Will CCP be paying the delivery for the prize?

Yes, actually, as part of the donation CCP is covering the shipping costs on top of everything else they've so generously provided the Foundation with.

Awesome cause but unfortunately, I am very very tight on finances and I certainly would if I could, possibly in the future when my finances are a bit more healthy. Anyway, my point of my post and I direct this to the Devs....
Instead of offering a Caldari Navy Raven ( model I assume ), why not drum up some REAL interest in this and offer up an in game State owned Raven. We all know what isk these babies fetch within the eve community and I am sure that if this prize were available to all eve-gamers, then you would raise a phenomenal amount of cash for such a worthy cause. We play this online game all for our own reasons and some of these little kiddies have probably got a shorter life expectancy than we all dare believe. Surely if such a cause of such urgency surfaces such as this one, then CCP would realise and offer up a "Proper " prize that would attract the vast majority of the eve gaming communities attention and really drive this charity push forward. So come on CCP, its not as though one State owned raven would upset the balance of the game, or indeed make it any less of a " Gucci " item to have. If ccp do that, then I will put up a kdney for auction if I have to and go buy me a ticket or three.

I can understand that, but that's venturing into RMT territory, which CCP is against (and righly so) even if it is for a good cause.

And @ Nathan32Derby UK,
Man, it's about the charity, not the prize.

Firehelix, i totally agree it is a damn good cause. last year i donated my old x-box and 20 games to the local childrens hospital, but my point really is that ccp if they were to offer a state issue ship ( the same as they have dished out in pvp tournys ) then interest in this charity drive would multiply. CCp could even add a tab to the acct management tab where players could donate as they top up their accounts. The ship wouldn't cost ccp anything to produce and whether the winner wishes to use the ship or auction it to raise isk would still fall within eula regs.

Only two hours left until the drawing, but any of you Minmatar fence-sitters out there, CCP has just added a Tempest to the prize pool! That means the first-place winner will have their choice of a Caldari Raven, an Amarr Apocalypse, or a Minmatar Tempest model.
Tickets are only five dollars, donatable at http://www.tinyurl.com/getwellgamers - best of luck to all the contestants!

I don't have the details on who won the prizes. Although I do know that we raised over $1000 USD for Get-Well Gamers and that not only was the Raven auctioned off but also a Tempest and an Apocalypse! Good job everybody!

Sorry it took me so long to address this- post-GDC is always hectic.
1st Place winner was Jeff Pellegrin of the United States, who took the Raven. 2nd Place winner was Simeon Mitev of Germany, who chose the Tempest. 3rd Place winner was Mark Shalavin of Australia, who got the Apocalypse.
Thanks again to everyone who donated- you'll make a world of difference in our christmas donations!
(Also, anyone who doesn't have any RL money can always send me isk... )
