Dear CCP,
Can we get the schedule and timing of the Finals matches for the next week-end? In order that everybody be prepared, I think everybody would like to know in advance when matches will take place, so they can gather the pilots.
Regards,

Just correcting the errors on Atlas Alliance and Chain of Chaos at the moment, and then I will post the rankings.
The current thing you can tell your pilots is: If you are in the top 32 you will fight at some point between 1500 and 2100 gmt on Saturday 19th ;) -- |

Assuming i understood CCP's method correctly, which is:
Quote: The 32 teams are ranked according to match results and then points scored. Using these rankings as a base, the teams are seeded into a 32 way single elimination. Seeding will be used so that the highest ranked teams are on opposite sides of the elimination tree.
Then it goes rank 1v32, 2v31 ..... 16v17. And as the highest ranks go on either side of the schedule (see last year's schedule), it would mean that the matches follow the order of:
1v32 3v30 5v28 etc
That would mean, again assuming i understood it correctly, that your next match is:
Saturday 19th September 17:00 - The Fourth District vs Legiunea ROmana
Hope that helps! (And that i'm right )

I still don';t understand how ranking and the winners will be announced. It will be only 1 last match? I thought that for the last 32 will be a double-brackets system or something of that kind, not just another match.
Can you please enlight in here how the finals will take place, with more details?

Edited by: Furion Hawk on 15/09/2009 11:35:46 If it works like AT6, it's going to be like this :
On saturday afternoon, the top 32 teams fight each other (1st vs 32th, 2nd vs 31th, etc), the 16 winners are through.
On sunday afternoon, you will have the 16 teams left fighting each other, then 8, 4, 2, and you get your winner :)
So that's at least 1 match on saturday for the 32 top teams, then up to 4 more matches on Sunday if you go all the way to the final match.

The finals are a single elimination tournament between the top 32 ranked qualifiers, with the winners advancing to the next round.
Saturday: - Round of 32 (16 matches)
Sunday: - Round of 16 (8 matches) - Round of 8 (4 Matches) - Semi Finals (2 Matches) - Final (1 Match)
