Hi,
I just installed win7 ultimate rtm, latest nvidia drivers, directx 9c and latest eve client. When i try to start it it shows only splash screen and than nothing. I checked in running processes and ExeFile.exe is there. I tried clearing settings folder, changing compatybility mode to windows xp, looking in registry if this is a virus problem (found on the forum that this is sometimes the problem) and nothing. Does anyone knows what might be wrong? How to fix that? Thank you in advance.

I had the same problems on my notebook. After the splash screen I still had "Eve" in the task bar but nothing happened. In my case it was a DirectX problem because the intel gma notebook driver didn't work properly. I reinstalled it and let the DirectX updater run once and then everything was fine for me.

Press ALT + ENTER if it is in the taskbar and you'll also probably be hearing the music. ------------------------------------- Don't click the links or even the forum topics. |

Nope... It isn't in the taskbar. It just disappears... However as I wrote it is listed in the processes tab. I ran logserver and i found multiple lines of something like:

This problem seems to impact some users on Ubuntu also, it looks possibly like some combination of OS kernel, Video & DirectX drivers triggers it.

I am using Windows 7 64 bit Professional and it works just fine for me on both this version and the former RC.
Look to see if theres Microsoft hot fixes that you need.
