Personally being an avatar pilot, I LOVE spending 80b on a ship then knowing that for my 80b I do the damage of 1 dread and OH MAN I CAN KILL ONE ****ING SHIP EVERY 10 MINUTES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ve tried so far to point out the problems my ship has in a polite way. Insteed of fixing those probs I am getting nerfed again. CCP you ve choosed a wrong way with dominion. Keep in mind that not every titan was build afk with moon gold and some ppl invested some serius effort on those ships. ________________________________________________

With the massive outrage over the Mom nerf, many people have overlooked the balls up that occurred with titans. Cutting their DPS in half was uncalled for. Sure, feel free to nerf tracking a reasonable amount. There's no reason that 45+B for hull alone ship has the DPS of a single Dread. You nerfed the DD cool down timer which wasn't really necessary, but people dealt with it. Then out of nowhere when people where all cool with everything and thought that titans could deal with a slightly lower cool down timer you cut their DPS in half. Another Super Cap that people have put ton's of time and energy into is useless.

Well I think the locking of the super carrier petition thread shows what opinion CCP has of its playerbase/customers.
I guess its a waste of time posting in these threads, as the opinions of CCP's customers are apparently viewed by CCP as "Spam".

I cant believe CCP comes up with an idea of how to make titans usefull which works, just to then go and neft it to ****.
The ROF on the DD weapon is rediculous The nerf on the turret damage i even more redeiculous.
You have all the titans pilot tell you the mistake you are about to commit but again you¦ll just nerf it more. If you want to get rude of it give us 80 billion each and take them away cause we aint gone use them. Selene I though you have a clue on balancing and clearky I was wrong.
PS: the leviathan is also so incredibly **** compare to the other and giving it those pretty missile aint exactly making up for it. ___ Fear the french touch.

If this ccp's twisted way to reduce the amount of titans ingame, it will sure do the trick. By making them a useless piece of metal pixels.
The inital changes on sisi were actually really promising and I had high hopes for the changes. Then came the armageddon day on sisi where everyone got to try the ship. I don't know if you based your current decisions on that day, but I think what you've done with the titan now is just aweful and also disrespectful to the titan pilots ingame.
Us titan pilots are a minority. We don't have a huge fan club like the mothership pilots as there are less of us. And with current game mechanics, most normal players hate our Dooms days devices, which you created.
I think that majority of the titan pilots feel that DD's needed to be changed. The death ray, as ghey as it sounds, was an OK idea. And the bonus on the xl guns made up for the rest.
Now, not only have you doubled the death ray's cycle timer, and cut the bonus on XL guns in half. but you've also mutilated the XL gun's tracking ability making it pretty much only able to hit other capitals or battleships standing still.
Before you gave us the ability to wipe out whole fleets. But now you can't even give us the decency to at least be able to pop battleships? because some random whiners still complained they died to a titan in one 2 volleys?!
What role does this ship play now? maybe as someone mentioned.. a "mobile jump portal generator" which costs ~50bil to build. nice..

Haven't the dev's already clarified the fact that they have no fing clue what they're doing. Even I'll admit this is a horrible change. And I can't help but gloat at the fact that the source of it is the idiotic DD direct damage.
You guys who are so pro DD change don't get how out of balance it's throwing the entirety of cap warfare, and instead of asking for something totally different that makes sense, CCP is having to compensate in a ******ed manner.
As for the moms, It sounds like zulupark is getting involved in capital warfare again.
I mean FFS devs, do you have any idea what it means to make smaller tweaks rather than grand **** ups. This is why you player base get's soo ****ed off at you.
You guys have so much potential with this game, but you just **** over people so bad, that your marginalize your growth rate. Make smart changes, and you'll see this game explode in numbers, keep this **** up, and you can keep gloating about your 5000 extra accounts every 6 months forever.

I'd bet the majority of players have not even seen the patch notes. I'd bet the ratio is startling for Empire PvE players / miners.

CCP clearly stated many times, including at fanfest that TITANS have to go in the field and fight togheter with the other ships instead of beign a "drive by" weapon of mass destruction.
For reaching this goal what we need?
1) Improved Hit points, allowing our support carrier fleet to keep us alive -> this requirement was achieved with the HP boost.
2) A sort of "unique" weapon system that make the titan able to do something that other ships can't -> We have this using the death-ray thing, the 5 minute timer was fine for me, considering that i was intended to STAY in the field.
3) Something to do between 1 volley of the death ray and the next one... -> We lack this part CCP, why i should stay in the field, togheter with the others if my titan can be useful 1 time every 10 minutes? i will just do drive-by again, near the carrier fleet 20-30km out of their current position, initiating warp only when the field is bubble clear.
For what regards me, i'm a Erebus pilot, the thing that i loved most of all was the ability to TAKE DOWN in few volleys sub-capital ships, while my range and damage was not good as the Leviathan one against capital ships, is fine, is a "role".
Why you should make the titan able to shoot only against capitals and doing a **** of damage? what's the purpose of beign in the field?
CCP: Give us a reason to keep our titans in the field and risk them, because RIGHT NOW with the proposed changes, the ONLY tasks a titan can achieve are:
1) Mobile jump portal, and this is always a very very important feature 2) wtfbbq a random capital ship out of the undock of a station 3) Massive titans hot-drop for destroying in 1 shot and warp out a "part" or "all" the enemy capital fleet.
With these tasks, titans will be only useful if used in BIG numbers, like 10+ otherwise would be completely stupid to use them, a single titan is completely WORTHLESS because risking 100b for taking out ONE enemy dread every 10 minutes does not pay off the risk.
If you have 10 titans then yes, you can mutilate the enemy fleet seriously and make your own dreads have more chance to finish off the enemy with less losses.
this is what you guys in CCP want? titan blob or no usage except ganking a random lone capital? this should be the job of the biggest and most expensive ship of the game?
My proposal:
1) Remove the silly tracking/exp velocity etc thing, let the xlarge guns go back to the original state as tracking, let dreads enter siege and loose tracking, it works, it worked for years it still works.
2) Make the Death-Ray a weapon that have a shorter refire time, like 2.5 minutes BUT require 75% of the ship capacitor for firing, the result is easy: you got a support fleet of carriers to pump ur cap? good you can fire every 2.5 minutes, you don't have it? have fun waiting your cap to recharge and you can CHOOSE between faster firing or better tank. i don't know if you guys ever flown a titan before speaking, the cap recharge is NOT so great if you start filling slots with tank, a leviathan fitted for full hitpoints can take more then 10 minutes to recharge cap for jumping with a pair of PDU, for the other titans is the same, here you go: Organized Fleet?? titans = BADASS, crap fleet? titans = useless.
3) Regarding the Damage bonus on the titan weapons whatever you do, it will never be at least for having a 100b ship sitting in the field, BUT a good damage bonus and a better tracking compared to sieged dreads make the difference in the field because your titan can shoot down moving enemy carriers easily or moving battleship, or even the lone heavy dictor that want your head so bad.

Lets get 3 years back, once Titans first implemented.
In the first year after their implementation there were only around 10 of them (BoB ie had 2, ASCN 1 etc). Why was that? Bcs ppl had to work for them, that means mine, rat or missioning. To build a titan it was on that time a corp or even an alliance job. Ofc there were flaws on their initial implementation (ie DDing to a cyno, while being inside POS shields), which got fixed.
After the first year of titans existence, CCP decided to implement invention, which was a good thing. The increasing production of t2 ships and modules increased the income from R64 moons, which is where the afk isk printing starts, together with t2 BPOs. Then you discover the moon mining exploit and stop it. The high end moon minerals values go up like crazy. And there is where the problem starts. Titan blobs. Ppl start producing those ships with really no effort.
Their initial role of keep the blob under control, it became a grief. DDs fired where they werenÆt needed. Ppl start using the Titans w/o any caution, bcs they are easy to replace. Ppl start complaining about titans and DDs.
After about a year you decided the revision of the Titans implementation. Instead of the mobile huge smartbombs you decide to give them a new role, capital killers. I had my concerns about that at the beginning, not about my killmails and k/d ration on the killboard, but about how you/we gona keep the blobs under control, in the 2k vs 2k todays engagements. I said, nvm they know what they are doing, they might have something in mind and I started to like being on the battlefield, killing caps while being under heavy fire and repped by friendly triage carriers.
3 weeks b4 domination launch, you come and you put again inside the pos. You said to me, I donÆt care about your hard worked isk (there are ppl building them with the old hard way you know?) you have to stay inside a pos and provide logistical support for your alliance mates. You transformed me into a huge mobile jump gate.
Sorry CCP you donÆt know what you are doing anymore. In a matter of fact, you are out of your mind.

The reason that Titan started to be build in such great numbers had nothing to do with this. The reason was Sov 4 invulnarability. Once you could build Titans with close to 0 risk of loosing your Capital Ship Yard, everybody did.
Thats why Sov 4 had to go. Its one of the most important changes in Dominion in regards to the supercapital landscape, yet it has had presiously little mention.

I dont think it played a that major role. The only baby titan destroyed b4 lvl4 sov implementation was the LV titan and that requiered the gathering of half of the 0.0 eve population. You cannot build somthing regardless if its safe or not if you dont have the isk to build it. If you loose a titan today its not a big deal, which it was b4 the moon miners. Ie PL can replace a fully fitted titan with no effort with the half or even less of their moon gold monthly income. It has nothing to do with the alliance, BoB could do (and have done) it also.
Anyway thats not the point of my post and we shouldnt argue about that. The point is that ccp implements uncalculated things and players who pay ccp must suffer for ccps decisions to "fix" things. ________________________________________________

Count number of titans built before sov4 and after sov4 got introduced. My guess is around 50x more were built after sov4.
But isk also made the difference. Before t2 production bottlenecks (that being amopunt of t2 bpos and later r64's) alliances didnt **** isk (at least not as they do now). Then t2 bpos became bottleneck and BOB started ****ting isk. CCP created invention, didnt fix r64s and year later most of larger 0.0 holders started to **** isk around. Now with some fix to r64 balance (one hit), sov costs (second hit) and lack of sov4 (third hit) some of titan production might go down. Ofc it all depends on how good titan blobs will be. If it will be feasible to use 20+ titans in combat, then they will be built. If no then not.
EDIT: o yea i read up your previous post. Exactly what you said. Sov4+"free isk" = titans. But still it will take at least 1 year to remove excess isk. In case of PL (if they actually put some isk for later) it might be even 3-5 years if they spend it gradually.

No way sorry, every ship class of this game MUST have a role, if the role of the titan must be a logistic beast make it like this:
1) You can clone-jump to it as long as you have a free clone slot without installing it before only for the corporation of who own the titan, actually even a simple suicide-clone is ok since u lost already the implants, does not matter. 2) make it able to bring 50 fitted and ready to fight battlesihps in the ship maintanance plus other 20-30 cruiser sized stuff 3) Increase the jump portal and jump range to the one of carriers (or at least dreads) 4) remove the doomsday, remove the turret hardpoints, remove all drones.
Result will be: 1) I need to start an invasion or siege a system, i move my fleet, i secure the area, put a large pos and bring my titans there filled with ships. 2) When my people dies, if they are still alive they come to me and get a new ship, if they are podded they will clone-jump back to me and go back in fight. 3) I have the ability to follow carriers fleets as a logistic beehmoth, a sort of big war logistic asset that you bring around. 4) The increased jump portal ability, allow you to move freighters around eve in a EASY way for placing those enormous HUB's that need standard freighters.
Actually the jump range of a dread would be ok too, the titan one is so short that in some regions there is NO WAY to move them, for example for moving a titan from esoteria to period basis you must go back to empire and come down the other way... is stupid.
If you want the titan to be a LOGISTIC ship, make it able to REALLY help out people. If you people at CCP are scared about how it could end up to balance the titans in fight, just don't make them fight but MAKE THEM USEFUL.
Just a funny idea: Then if you want to be really hard core logistic, give it the ability to "teleport" the people near it to a destination even more far but at the cost of having the titan to jump togheter with them and be stuck 5 minutes where it lands.

Don't forget the change that let freighters load/unload at a POS. No more 1000+ trips in an industrial to get the materials to the CSAA.

With this much of a nerf batting Titans are useless, just glorifed stargates that have crap range and little else use.
Look through your logs, find what everyone paid for their Titan, unfit the mods give us the ISK back and just remove everything Titan related from the game, its really about all that is worth doing.
People still lose out shedloads on POS costs, building costs, BPO Costs etc but better than losing an >70bn ISK investment as well!

Welcome to Carebear online. CCP needs the wow players, so everything combat oriented will be nerfed to allow the 10 million wow players to join eve, spend a few years isking up, then be rdy to fight.

Seems CCP want to give MS anti-capital role. They can launch 15 fighters (2 additional per level = 5+2*5 = 15). That is same DPS as 2 dreads. They keep 10m EHP tank. Price drops to 3x dreads and they gain ability to dock (losing super capital status?).
So it will be like this:
ms = anti-capital platform dread = anti stationary objects ship (poses / hubs / stations), secondary role: anti capital carrier = capital logistic
conventionals = anti super-capital ships (bombers dont do much to small ships) + with neutralizing ships it will be question of time till they go down.
titan = mobile JB ???
Titan should have some role too, mobile JB is just silly for 60b ship. It should be also anti-capital ship, like MS. So it has its single-target DD (from inital changes it should be reduced to 2m with max skills - so it is possible to fit capitals with DD proof fits, but at sacrificing their DPS). It should gain 3x sieged dread turret damage bonus (like initially planned), but with restriction: they should get also huge tracking penalty (like -75%) / explosion velocity (-50%), so it cant hit effectively even BS. That will mean conventionals will eat titans and MS easly. Just kill their cap, keep tackle (with HICS) and then cyno in your own dreads to finish them off. With dreads / carriers blob super capitals will dominate field. But with conventionals support supercaps usage will be very risky.

I keep thinking that there must be more changes to come.
That CCP cant possibly be leaving titans like this.
The Damage of 1 dread, 1 whole dread. Somebody is probably gonna give it the old "they are not supposed to be cost effective" line. Whatever.
Fact is some people have spent, months and years of hard graft to get into these ships. They were not all built with alliance moon goo isk.
Please at least respond to the thread to say if these are gonna be the changes implemented. So people can sell, self destruct, suicide them or whatever.
Titan pilots dont have the same number of people to complain as Mom/potential Mom pilots. This does not mean they should be completely ignored.
Just some sort of explanation as to why Titans seemingly are about to become the most expensive Jump Bridges ever would be nice.
