I can't get this to run. I get an error stating that I only have SQL Express 2005 installed, I went to the linked site and installed every SQL thing I saw, and nothing.
When the program starts, I get:
Problem loading EMMA, database cannot be opened because its version 655, this server supports version 612 and earlier.
An attempt to attach an auto-named database for file... failed
Please help.

I know today is a holiday in the US, but I am thinking about spending the 100 mil for a full key. How long would it take to receive the key once it is paid for? Thank you and sorry for a question I'm sure you have answered at least a hundred times over.

Well, as you can probably guess from my tardy response, I don't check this thread a lot anymore
However, I do check my wallet every 3 days or so and still send out licenses when I'm sent isk. --------------------------------------

Just installed and updated to the latest version. Error upon startup directs me to the exception log, which yields this information: 6/12/2011 3:33:11 AM Critical - EveMarketMonitorApp.Common.EMMADataException - Problem removing old CLRStoredProcs assembly Inner Exception: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.BatchParser, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91' or one of its dependencies. I've already tried both quick fixes in the read-me. Any help is appreciated.

Just a little notice that due to the changes CCP is making to monetize apps (http://www.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&bid=901) I'll be cutting EMMA loose.
The problem is this:
Quote: Inexpensive - $99 per year, no other fees
Quote:
Will services for in-game currency require a commercial license? Yes, if you require any sort of payment for your services you will need a commercial license.
EMMA is reasonably popular (around 500 licenses sold to date) but I still think it would struggle to make enough RL cash to cover the $100 expense of the commercial license. I'm not going to pay $100 per year for the privilege of charging isk for it, therefore I have to stop charging isk for it.
I'm not sure yet exactly what I'm going to do with it but since I don't have time for development anymore it's pretty much a dead project anyway... --------------------------------------

I'd say watch this space until it's finalised dude...
Originally by: ccp 2) Regarding this clause: Q: Will services for in-game currency require a commercial license? A: Yes, if you require any sort of payment for your services you will need a commercial license. I've spoken to Biz Dev and this is something that might be revised, possibly to exclude ISK payments. I'll let you know as soon as I know more.

Ambo, I completely understand the frustration you may be feeling right now. For the last 6 months I have been struggling with whether to buy a license for EMMA or not and as you know recently bit the bullet and did it. I used the application for a time while the license was not required and determined it was and is exactly what many of us have been looking for. Please be patient and don't stop until development quite yet. The 32+ pages CCP has gotten as feedback on this licensing item is sure to prevail in either it not happening or drastic changes to the framework they are playing at. Thank you again for EMMA.
Edit: Quote screw up.

Another head's up. This blog post would seem to indicate that EMMA will not work after the API comes back up on patch day.
The changes required are not huge, it's just finding the time to make them that's difficult..
The blocking of IPs that causes errors *shouldn't* cause problems if you don't normally have problems. My api access log is a full screen on 'ok' with no errors. However, since EMMA makes so many requests at once (it uses up to 8 simultaneous threads to make requests), it could very easily go over a few errors in a minute if something goes wrong.
If you want to make 100% sure that EMMA does not get your IP banned then uncheck all your tickboxes for automatic API updates against chars/corps and only tick/untick them one by one as you need the data. If you get an error, make sure to wait a few minutes before updating anything else.

Regarding error: Critical - EveMarketMonitorApp.Common.EMMAException - EMMA is unable to connect to the database.
clixoras' suggestion worked for me.
Originally by: clixoras had sort of the same problem after a reinstall Delete C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server Data\SQLEXPRESS. this helped for me.
The path above is slightly different for me since I am on Windows 7 (x:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server Data\)

Hi guys, I want to try this fantastic software but when I create a new account and copy/paste the API information I have this answer: Authentification failure: Invalid USer ID and/or API key. They are right, what is the problem? THX.
