What is the most pointless item you have fitted (in error) to a ship? I'm not talking about the little used or rare and slightly off the wall items, but something you'd think was meant to be good but turned out to be rubbish or completely in violation of trades description, or a damp squib rather than a big bang?
Just got hull upgrades V, went to swap from tech I 1600mm plates to Tech II's. Why is it pointless?
The 1600mm plates go up to 4200 armour HP with (i think) lower CPU, PG and mass (by about 1M) than the tech II equivalents. In fact, the tech II plates (if I were to replace my 3 x 1600mm I's) would simply add 3Mt to my ship mass, which is stupid and pointless as I'm off in WH space.  . No benefit, higher usage requirements, bigger cost. I don't get it.. :)
Any thoughts?

The shield flux coil is far and away the most useless module in the game.

T2 plates are cheaper and can be produced which the RT's can't.
Auto-targeters give more targets which is pretty good for them.
Oversized Cap batteries give more cap and better recharge.
Shield flux coils are crap.
Regenerative platings are crap.

Also, pretty much anything with the word "Micro" in the name is worthless.
THe exception is the micro-cap booster, sometimes used on inty's (tho a cap recharger is generally better)

autotargeter is far from useless some of my fits have 3 as a must. Shield rechargers is not useless, next to useless mind you but there are a few rare times they are useful.

Two of most dumb things i fitted and i thought by description that they would be usefull...
...later i learned to use EFT and to ask other people what something does and what it is good for
and not to read a description and to rely on that.. lol

Most useless I have ever fitted? Hmm, have to think long and hard about this one.

I can't really think of any. Might've been something as useless as an ECM Burst on a hauling Mammoth or something.
