I've been seaching the forums for a couple of days now and I can't seem to find any information regarding the difficulty of the NPC spawns in these sites. I'm looking to build a ship to run these sites and was wondering what kind of stats would I be looking to achieve.
Do I need to bring a heavy combat ship in to clear out the site and come back or can they be done with a recon/covert ops ship?

I would suggest Cover ops to find them ,because some sites are very hard to scan down.
Hvy Combat ship with Analyser + Salvager (Magneto) or Codebreaker (Radar). Some sites got a real good respawn and some Magneto sites got Drone spawns.
Dont forget to get a hauler if you want do multiple Radars at once. Mosttimes 1 Radar site fills up a BS cargohold.

Interesting so what kind of tanking ability would I be looking at. Something along the lines of BS size? (ie 400-600 dps)

Combat sites I've encountered seem similar to L4 missions as far as ships/difficulty. Web/Scram frigates, heavy DPS all the way up to multiple BSs. We've done a couple with a 3-ship mix: RR BS, DPS BC and CovOps Frig. For non-hack sites I'd swap out the CovOps for a second DPS BC. Not sure about solo, as I'm the CovOps/or DPS BC guy (I don't own a BS in 0.0)

The one null-sec radar site I've done had 6 battleships and 2 battlecruisers in it. The only null-sec plex I've done so far (6/10 rated) had 5 rooms and I lost track of the number of ships and guns in the various rooms. The most was about a dozen battleships in a single room, plus a tower.
Now, the toughest one is supposed to be crazy tough. We found one yesterday and passed on it because it's supposed to be that difficult. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

2 nights ago I ran one salvaging site and one hacking site with my corp.
The salvaging site had 2 waves of drone spawns with 3-4 BS in each and a **** ton of frigs and cruisers.
The hacking site had 2 waves of destroyers and cruisers and one lone BS.
I'm just curious as to whether this is about all I'm going to see in the hacking and arch/salvage sites or if there are harder sites than that. It's mostly to find out the feasability of running these things solo before I fit up a ship and get WTFPWNED because I didn't bother to ask someone

I run the 0.0 radar and mag sites all the time. I use a cov ops to run deep into 0.0 and find a WH back to empire. I then put the alt in a prowler. It carries the prober/analyzer/code breaker/ammo/loot. I run my combat character in a Myrmidon. The myrm easily tanks any radar/mag site.
I usually will spend 5-7 days in 0.0 constantly running sites, then find a new WH back to empire when ever I get bored. Do not try any of the DED combat plexes. You'd get roasted in a BC. I will throw in a cosmic anomaly every now and then for a change and a chance at a faction spawn. Most of these are very easy, but research first. There are a few of them that would easily kill a BC.

finding those wormholes back to high sec is the tricky part - that said finding them to low sec is a bit more common or 00 NPC space where at least u have stations.
How many systems would u scan on average to find a high sec link not going thro at least more than 2 wormhole systems.
Just for future reference
