It is often said, you can never leave Eve, only take a break. Seems this might be true.
A little while back I decided I'd had enough and gave my crap away and left. Went to try that robot thing, had a little fun but got bored.
Bit of a bugger that I gave all my stuff away though, but the challenge to gain assetts is as good as any focus :)
See you in game folks o/ |

There is something that makes me wonder both about the "Im back!" and "Im leaving!" threads.
Who are you, why should we care and why do you believe yourself to be anything but some random insignificant scrub?
Or rather how do you regard yourself as anything else?
Edit: Before anybody cries WOLF!/TROLL! - I believe those are very legitimate questions. |

He's just telling. Just as you are just asking your - self proclaimed (no offense) - legitimate question.
It always makes me wonder about people that say "you must feel important to post that", (not talking about YOU here) because i believe it tells more about them, than about the posters they are talking about.
One could say that you felt your post is - for you - important enough to be posted ... ... but i don't want to say that you feel important or anything.
It's just that he may feel the same way and - for him - it's totally legitimate. You feel like it and you do it. Besides, nobody knows if he knows ppl who read the forums and are actually interested, but not posting.
Also ... considering the shitload of threads about ppl who are leaving, (old forums) it's just fair when ppl post when they are coming back.
As everybody who posts, posts for a reason, every post has a value for the guy who posts, hence every post has a value, which amounts to zero ... including mine, of course.
And everybody who says his posts have more value than others ... ... just has a really bloated ego.
Of course, some posts contain more information than others, but that doesn't say they have more value than those who contain less information.
They all have the same value ... zero. |

Hey join the club.. ive 'left' a few times too, and once i swore it was for good.. but hey here we are.
over the 6+ ive played, my life has changed a lot, ive moved all over the country, graduated, got jobs, changed jobs, people come and go.. and somehow one of the few things which has always been around in one way or another is this game :) That which doesn't kill us, makes us stronger.

That was a lot of posts for a post that describes how posters feel about their posts. (sorry, just had to say it)

My apologies for taking so long to reply to the aforementioned questions. I won't lie, I didn't think it was important enough to reply, but as you keep bringing it up it must be.
Who am I? I am James Arbuthnot Pooley. I live in Brentford, and am best friend of a John O'Malley, where together we drink lots of Large, in a pub called the Flying Swan. We have saved the world many many times over, and were even instrumental in getting the Olympics staged in Brentford, oh and let us not forget the fantastic FA Cup winning Brentford football team!
As for a randomn scrub? Well, we can't all be important goons can we?
In all seriousness, of course I am irrelevant, and perhaps it was not necessary to post as you're right that noone does care. I think someone touched upon it earlier, we just do it yet know not why.
I left because I ran out of reasons to log in, long before the monocle-gate, which I read about while on holiday of all things. It was actually because of the threadnaught I discovered Perpetuum so I gave it a try. It is actually not bad, but not enough there to keep me interested yet so I thought I would try dear old Eve again.
Did you need to know? Probably not. |
