Hola everyone. I've been a pretty uninvolved roleplayer for a while (meaning I spend most of my time entertaining the notion of RPing, but never really get around to doing much more than listening in at "The Summit")
Anywho, I recently got a few friends involved in the game, and we're looking to start a casual but immersive Vherokior roleplaying corporation. Problem is, I can't find any Vherokior lore (even player generated). I've read the in-game descriptions, of course, and I've flown the gamut of Molden Heath systems to get a general idea of what the Vherokior's home region is like (I'm assuming it's their home region, since all the Vherokior Tribe offices are located there). Not much to learn by doing that save speculation (being a fairly empty region, with little to no CONCORD control, I make the assumption that the Vherokior are somewhat of a middle or lower class in Minmatar society. This is, of course, entirely guesswork).
Could anyone point me towards some Vherokior lore, if it exists? A thread, a chronicle, anything. Also, if there are any Vherokior roleplayers out there who might be open to discussion, I'd love to know their callsigns. Thanks for your time. |

The sticky on this forum about the Empyrean Age political situation has a pdf with a paragraph on how the Vherokior are dealing with things. Other than that, I've got nothing.

The Vherokior are interesting, sadly they are not as detailed as some of the other tribes, having entered the game much later (being one of the bloodlines introduced in Red Moon Rising).

The Evelopedia has a couple of scraps, but mainly it's copy-pasted from the character creation process. This page notes that they have access to all levels of Minmatar society, so don't think of them as lower-class specifically.
As the Vherokior tend to be nomadic traders, perhaps look for inspiration from real-life cultures that might match that. Maybe study the Romani and perhaps draw inspiration from other nomadic people.
The Vherokior are also known to hold mystic beliefs. Perhaps your little group could include a shaman and develop some fanon rituals? Such initiatives tend to be highly regarded in the RP community. -----

Alexeph, thanks for the links. I feel silly for not being able to find that wiki page on the Vherokior before I posted this.
I'm glad to hear that the community is usually receptive to fanon. I played an Achura (sp?) a few years ago, right after Red Moon Rising was released, and I remember they had a similar issue. A few prominent RPers at the time came up with some fan-generated lore for the Achura, but I quit playing before I was able to see how the community reacted.
Developing fanon is a delicate thing. Are there any good examples of fanon that are generally accepted by the community, that I might use as a guide post?

Edited by: Alexeph Stoekai on 22/09/2009 18:47:55 Edited by: Alexeph Stoekai on 22/09/2009 18:45:46 I would strongly suggest joining the forum EVE Chatsubo, which serves as an unofficial hub for most of the more organized RP that goes on these days. The "Collaborative RP/Events" board might serve as a good platform for trying to organize some Vherokior identity.
EDIT: On the topic of accepted fanon: There is the small-scale stuff like Starsi (Caldari soft drink, alternative to Quafe) all the way up to in-depth analysis and extrapolation of Achuran culture. (as endorsed by CCP Dropbear) -----

There is some confusion about the Vherokior past which highlights this idea of mystisicm. They are apparently, originally of Starkmanir origin. They split off from the rest of the Starkmanir and other Minmatar sometime before Amarrian occupation, apparently following an exiled Chief. We returned after an indeterminate amount of time, 'changed.' The only other information given us is that the Vherokior do not discuss, or possibly even know, what caused the change. As players, we aren't even told what the nature of the change is. Contact me in-game if you want someone to compare notes with.
