New module: Cyno Suppressor
High slot
Small = 50k radius suppression Medium = 75k Large = 100k
Power, CPU and capacitor requirements similar to running a smart bomb of the same size.
While running, Cynos cannot be deployed within their radius (or can be deployed but do not function).
This will put a dampener on people who use cynos exclusively as an "I Win" button for small scale PvP.

With pos warfare in 0.0 going the way of the dodo in the next patch big cap fights are gonna be rarer. Mobile mods that prevent caps getting on to the field would probably kill the clases off all together.

Fascinating idea. I wouldn't know the consequences but I imagine people would have to bring in their capitals via a cyno somewhere else, and then have them actually warp into combat. Sounds exciting.

Well, you can already suppress cynos in 0.0 sovereign space with a Cynosural System Jammer. Until you kill it, you can't cyno in anything in the entire system.
Cyno fleets seem to be common enough despite THAT monster. I'm just asking for a 50km radius.
Really I'm just looking for a way to prevent cyno hotdropping from continuing to destroy small scale PvP in EVE. This is where you attack a single ship with your single ship, there's nobody else in the system and them pow, 50 people are right on top of you with no warning -- the ship you attacked happened to have a cyno on board. This is very common in my experience. It's to the point where I don't feel like engaging in PvP anymore unless I'm *sure* the target is in a corp/alliance that never does cyno.

I see where you are going with it. I'm pretty sure there's a whole bunch of corps up and down low sec which are probably grinding there teeth over the same problem.
The problem is you cant implement it without it destroying capital to capital combat. Its already hard enough to catch an opposing capital fleet without them getting wind of your form up. Cyno-ing in at a safe spot looses you your advantage and nine times out of ten your targets will scarper. Also it just doesn't really fit in with CCP's Need for Speed initiative.
