Edited by: The Buttejuice on 28/09/2009 09:14:23 Edited by: The Buttejuice on 28/09/2009 09:12:38 so, is there anything special next to the usual missile+bombing skills, targetting skills and the cov op/cloaking skills to be able to use the stealth bomber the way it should be used?
to be a bit more specific:
is
navigation skills 4 bomb deploy 4 cov ops 4 cloaking 4 torpedos 4 missile support skills ~ 4 long range targetting/sig. analysis 4 target painting lvl ?
enough ? am i missing something? should i rather go for t2 torpedos and launchers instead of arbalest+navy torps?

Navigation skills.
EW skills eg: damps, target painters, warp disruptors.

obviously it is dependent on how much time you have to invest into skilling for SBs. personally im going down the siege missile launcher ii + faction torps route. it delivers a small bonus to DPS, but one worth it for me.

about the t2 launchers/torps - it looks like there are 2 camps, the one side likes arbalest+navy torps (i guess because it is just faster to skill and still effective) the other side is all in t2 launchers+faction torps
oh snap, and i thought i could actually use it the way it is supposed to be used in about 2 months ^^

Arbalest is also less grid and cpu intensive as opposed to Tech 2 torp launchers. I should know I use Tech 2 torps and fitting can be a pain in the arse at times but I just luv the Tech 2 torps major boomage on them.
EDIT: To use a bomb launcher you need missle bombardment at lvl 5 until the new expansion I'm not to happy with the skill prereq drops

oh well, tbh if i am out of skills but bombardement and dominion is still on its way i will go for V instead of waiting for dominion just to safe me some precious 8 days ~
the thing is: if i go for t2 torps it might be there until i need bombardment, if i go for arbalest then not :v
edit: wrong char

T2 torpedo launchers are only worth it to me if I'm fighting battleships... reason being they take so much more fitting that I have to use a lowslot for a CPU instead of another BCS, so DPS actually goes down against small ships where I'm not using rage torps.

I would recommend very seriously considering CovOps 5. The boost to damage is significant.

I would add another set of skills. Leadership skill. Stealth bombers should, when possible, act in coordinated groups (preferably with each type of sb involved for a good spread of damage types). As with any group in eve, leadership skills can add a distinct edge. Particularly (in my opinion) skirmish warfare skills.
