Hello There Ive currently Spent the last few good months training up my gunnery skills, But im getting a little impatient and i jst want to get in a ship and kick some ass so the one skills i need in gunnery left is
'Advances Weapon Upgrades'
which will take 19d but is this worth the wait i mean i could get myself into a hac before then, It does only gve 2% but thinking about it if you have 5 Guns on the zealot that 1 skills will give an extra 10% to my zealots powergrid ,
so is it worth it? or maybe i should wait and do it later? Here are my Skills

Math doesn't work that way

Probably not at this point. Train other stuff first. If you ever need that last bit of powergrid you can always train it.

Edited by: Megan Aven on 01/10/2009 13:41:23 I think you should stop training Gunnery skills asap. Your support skills are pretty horrible.
If I were you, I would start training something below: Drones 1 Energy management 1 Energy system operations 2 Hull upgrades 4 Mechanics 3 High speed maneuvering 0 Jury rigging 0 Targeting 2 Long range targeting 2
You have almost 7.8M skill points in Gunnery, yet whole Mechanics, Drones, Engineering and Electronics combined don't even come at 1M skill points. ---

I can't get eve-sheet to work at the mo, but if Megan is right then you need to seriously play with evemon and get the support skills up. Armor skills Capacitor / powergrid skills (engineering 5, energy management 5, energy systems op 5) Don't forget to do some shield skills to, just cos it's an armor tanker skills like shield operation, shield management are v useful cos they've got to get through your shield before they get to the armor.
If you really wanna fly the zealot then you can ignore drones skills since there's no drone space in it.
My advice is look at the ship in evemon, view the battleclinic loadouts and work off them. Also use Eve Fitting Tool to see if you can fit things without needing AWU5
I know this sounds a downer but patience is a virtue in eve, and makes the difference between going out there in a ship you can just hold together, or going out there with a degree of competence and actually enjoying flying the ship instead of getting it shot full of holes.

She is right, i did some quick math, less than 1m sp not related to gunnery, learning or getting into an interceptor.

Are you saying you already have it at 4, and training it to level 5 would take 19 days?
Or that you don't have it at all, and that the 19 days are from level 0 to 5?
You should definitely have AWU at level 4. It is a very useful skill.
Having it at level 5 is not so obviosly useful, though, given the high time cost.

With AWU 4 you are good. You can skip the the training by simply attaching a 3% implant on ur char or putting on a power diag.
In the end, it all does the same.

You are now spec'd for Perception/Willpower, so just continue training gunnery and ship skills. However, as soon as you get another remap available, you absolutely need to train up Drones/Engineering/Electronics/Mechanics/and the whole lot, before you are even able to be kick-ass. If you'll enter the zealot with just gunnery skills you'll die horribly. So if you want to fly something in the meantime, stay with t1 cruisers or battlecruisers.

Ilon'Aya is right
I wanted to train this character to get the best sp/hour results my perc/willpower are at there highies there for im training my gunnery and then my spaceship command skills so i wont have to touch them again then once my remap is available ill switch to mechanics/engering etc,
But im am getting impatient but i do realise if i wanted to fly stuff now i would have to train the neccecary stuff now like mechanics 5 etc
Ive decided to leave AWU 5 which mean ive only got a fw days left on my gunnery to complete then on to my spaceship command skills , thanks guys for the help )
