nope, see them all the time in W-Systems I come to. However I did notice if you stay in one system it stops spawning good stuff after a few weeks.

I was meaning a Wh that a corp would have a POS in. not in general. I find new ones all the time that have alot of grav sites but the one where I have a tower hasn't spawned a site since the update.

Random spawns are random.
I have a POS in a C2 and it spawns 2-4 new sites a day. This is not counting the two WHs that respawn every day. I've gotten CAs, Radars, Mags, Ladars, Gravs and the occasional additional WH.
It is thought that the spawning mechanic is similar to the exploration site spawning mechanic. When a site is completed it has a list of systems that it can respawn in. It randomly picks one and respawns there. You are either having a bad run of luck or the list that shares the systems with your system list aren't getting cleared as fast.
POS has no effect.

Random spawn is random
Had two radars and a grav spawn in our C2 just a couple days ago.

They do spawn, even if the wh is on the single sig + wormholes-routine. Even better, once a grav spawns, there will still be another ladar, mag or radar every day.

I don't believe thats the case.
That being said, we've had 4 lader spawns in a row and gravs have been far and few.
Sig Gallery is currently down: Contact me ingame for prices.

Edited by: Celia Therone on 06/10/2009 02:35:50 Dropped into a hole (class 2 I think) with a tower in it yesterday... 50+ combat sites 5 ladars 7 grav (two core) 5 radar 1 mag
Had a short-lived bc sized hole to low sec and another (not sure of size) to zero sec.
I think part of the problem is that once a grav site spawns into a hole like that it's going to stay there until it naturally de-spawns so you don't get much circulation of grav sites.

Perhaps someone else is clearing out your w-space during the hours that your corporation is not active?
It may also be the case that your w-space constellation is not as busy as it was last week due to various corps being forcefully removed.
Perhaps Lady Luck is just not smiling on you this week.
I've heard that Onyxia is deep breathing more since the patch, too.

Deal...
as it stands we still have had no sites respawn, no grav, no ladar, no radar, and no mag. Nothing. the only thing that has changed inside our WH is the Wormholes themselves. I think someone would be hard pressed to be running the sites in our corps WH especially sicne we have someone on just about 23 hours a day doing something in the WH if they can. but since there has been no respawn of anything we've not been doing anything
(the sleeper sites have respawned, but no other sites)
it's been like this for 2 weeks and we're waiting for a connecting WH to a class 4 to open up so we can move into that.

I sounds like you have a bad egg (WH) and should move soon.
We have had two grav sites recently in our WH with one large POS.

During grav highs we can have up to 4 in our class 2. On rare occasion maybe once or twice a month we get a nice Core Grav site too. We have multiple towers in our class 2.

My understanding is that there is a constant number of sites in a given constellation (I think groups of WH systems are in each constellation). If you farm one system but not the others (which would be difficult as I guess they're not connected) the sites will end up concentrating in the unharvested systems.
A typical model is therefore to farm your neighbouring systems as well as your hub as the hub system won't spawn that many new sites...

ALL spawned sites in a WH are random with Ladar being the most common followed by Grav then Rad then Mag.
Once a POS is establish in a WH you must verify quickly activate all sites you wish to keep around (meaning you must take part in some activity being start mining or shoot a rat down).
The respawn time on sites in systems with POS establish is like 1 site per day... it's very ****ty. We've found you're better off doing group run and just logging off instead of establishing a POS. While the POS is a safe haven, it also instantly tells anyone that happens across it that there are targets of opportunity in the WH.

Towers have no impact on respawns. Stop spreading rumors.
Devs confirmed this in the early days of w-space exploration.
Sites always spawns slowly. The truth is that you find a system with a lot of sites because it hasn't been touched in a while and has thus accumulated sites. This happens in k-space too. Its all part of the spawn mechanics. _____________________________________________

This is the important part:
Sites will despawn (at the latest) 4 days after they have have been visited first time.
Unvisited sites will stay until visited! (Or at least for a long, long time...)
Thus systems with no regular occupants tend to build up many sites. Systems with POS on the other hand tends to be stripped faily quickly by the POS inhabitants. (Or be course visitors visit all sites just to annoy you when they spot your POS...)
Trick is to find a nice wormhole where the "static" wormhole allways exits in another wormhole system of the class you want to be doing. That way you each day will get access to a new (potentially untouched) system to exploit.
It's not where you put up your POS that counts: Its what it links to.
Happy worming!
