Why does it take customer service so long to answer a petition? I keep trying to send them money and they won't answer, kind of counter productive if you ask me.
I've had the ticket open for a week now.

Offer beer, works better than money ------------------------------------------------ You either need a punch up the throat or a good shag.
Nobody round here is offering the second one therefore your choices are limited! |

They need to offer phone support. This is getting ridiculous.

Chill. They dont have unlimited resources. Ridiculous its you suggesting that EVE phone support its doable. _
I like to play this game because it make my in-game actions and archievments to mean something in-game. |

Waiting on a petition for over a week is ridiculous.
Seeing as most other games have phone support, I don't find it that hard to believe.

Edited by: Dex Timor on 11/10/2009 08:02:13 1) Did you file your petition under the right subject and with enough comprehensible data ? 2) Some petitions have much higher priority: character stuck petitions get sorted out faster then some other problems. [quote: Filing a petition as a stuck character issue for any other reason is punishable by death.] 3) petitions filed under the wrong category, especially if less-important petitions are filed in the high-priority channels will take longer to be worked on. 4) re-check your petition ("F12" -> your petitions), does it say "closed" or anything else then a "-" in the status column 5) If your petition was filed under the wrong category, you can delete it and file it under the right category. (again "F12" -> your petitions)

edit: my last 2 petitions concerning Isk-spammers were sorted out in less then 1 minute and 5 minutes respectively.

Well when I got an email about a payment, I clicked on the URL to create a new petition, so I did so.
I then created another petition from the Eve Website about the same thing.
Not sure if I should close the email one, or the one on my account.

I wish I could help you, but alas I'm only a player. The only advice I can give you is: don't click on links in mails. The mail could have been a phishing mail created to obtain your account information.
You are able to see if you have 2 open petitions. Select "eve support" -> "my petitions" from the left column. If it doesn't list 2 petitions, you should change the password on your account immediately. If you have 2 petitions, delete 1. I'm not sure if you can check if the petition was filed under the correct category.
If you did everything correctly and your petitions have not been looked at by CCP, try sending a mail to customer support. For the mail address, follow the link in my previous post.

i have never had to wait more then 2 days for a response, but i do recommend you sign in and link to your account directly, account holders get top priority, also misfiling it can cause problems, as can posting more then one time for the same issue as this means two GM's pulling data which muddles each other up id imagine, they are very efficient at what they do an are exceptionally nice people to deal with in comparison, for instance on wow i got banned for hacking when i got a virus that crashed my comp, upon contacting customer support to ask what had happened i got banned again for contacting them when i was told explicitly not to on an email i to this day have yet to receive.
if there was an award for what they do, they'd have it by now. honestly unless your unlucky its something your side, tell them about your wait and they will apologise and sort something out for you im sure ^^
just don't forget not to post about any help they offer unless its general info, its all confidential to your account =]

The email was from Eve's Official site, so I am not too worried about that.
I am still waiting though.
Seems they don't want my money.

This is extremely easy to forge. There is no good way to confirm that an email is from someone's "official site".

Well I got the email after they declined my credit card when I tried to activate the power of two.

Is there anyway to contact customer service outside of a petition?
Phone support?
Chat support?
Do they ever like blacklist an account and no longer help it?

It took me a while to get back a reply as well a couple of weeks ago when I messaged them to inform them of an infected website. It also took a while when I messaged them about something else, I dont remember what. But when I asked about adverts on splash screen and when I got 60 days instead of 2 x PLEX they responded more or less immediately.
Dunno if its the departments or the holidays or what but it was random with me.
