8 out of ten, it is very good and funny but a 10 is very serious score its not a 10 out of 10 worthy movie

"any regrets?"
"garfield?"
I agree, Woody was spot on. Rule #32: enjoy the little things. and he sure did.
Oh and follows rule #2: double tap, even when driving.

You may want to compare it a little more to Shaun of the dead. I haven't even seen it yet but I can see its supposed to have more humor than dramatic effect.

Agreed with OP, 10/10 for me, as well as all of the friends I went to see it with. Just a brilliant movie that doesn't take itself too seriously, but still delivers anywhere it matters.

Surprisingly good.
Nowhere near Dawn of the Dead, which has to be considered the masterpiece of the genre. The remake that is, despite the emphasis on effects rather than the plotting and scheming of the original, which comes in a close second.

Why are people comparing a comedy to a drama like this? Are you guys dense? This movie should be compared to Shaun of the Dead (Which it blows out of the water) not to a serious movie that is completely different.

I'm really happy for Zombieland. I'm gonna let you finish. But Shaun of the Dead is the best zombie/comedy (zombedy?) movie of all time! OF ALL TIME!

Sorry but I define genre as I see fit, only Dawn of the Dead remake is comedy free. The original had the stupid comedy bits in it still that didn't fit, guy strapping himself to an arcade machine in the middle of a zombie mob...
Every movie defining itself as a zombie comedy however, Shaun of the Dead, Dead Snow and so on, they all blow so hard in comparison there really is no need to further embarrass them, hence the comparison to the others.

Don't get me wrong, I like Simon Pegg. Funny guy, but Shaun of the dead has nothing. Nothing! on this movie. This had action, gore, and Bill Murray awesomeness. This atleast partially took itself serious with the 'zombies' thing, whereas shaun was too dumb, for my tastes personally.
The 6/10 is just harsh too, your zombie plan must be terrible. You better all have one!
I may be a bit biased though, when I went to see it, the time was barely past dinner time on a friday (work sucking the rest of my time away) and it was actually just me and my 2 buds in the room for that viewing. So it was awesome to have no noisy 'im opening my food mid movie' bums and other irritating stuff.
Still, I say 10/10. I'll always love white men cant jump, but since then I haven't kept up with Woody, this did it for me.

If you've not seen anything Woody since WMCJ then you need to see Palmetto.

I shall give it a look see. Have been thinking about watching more of Woody's stuff since seeing this. Though i've also been thinking about re-seeing this. To this day, the only movie i've gone to the cinema to see twice was 300. This may soon change
