So yeah, due to the lack of anything more pressing to do, I went cruising through the quieter end of Devoid in my trusty Executioner. After narrowly avoiding a big FW blob I went out looking for some lone targets to have a bit of fun with.
A bit of hunting later and I come across a lone rifter ratting in a belt, *jackpot*, so I point him up and start letting my adorable little gatling pulses eat into his shields. He hits structure and he's going down fast, which is prolly just as well since my cap is about to die but then HORROR! He warps off just as he was about to pop. STABBED! ffs.
So I go safe up and sulk wait out my GCC the once it's done I move on, in the next system I spot an FW plex open, and only a lone person besides me in local, so I decide to investigate a bit. Turns out to be a lone blackbird (wtf?) counting down the 'plex and picking off the rats with what appear to be lazors (?!). Ah hell, I think, should be fun, so I burn into range, point him up and open up with lazors of my own. Oddly, he doesn't even try and jam me, just starts flailing ineffectually at me with his lasers (beams, double lol), i'm making a noticeable dent in his shields (could have also been the rats doing it I guess), then he sinks into armour, he looks to be going down fast with me holding him in place...but then he warps off. Another nub with warp stabs! Where the hell do they get these ideas?
Is there a "thou shalt be warpstabbed at all times" clause in the game manual now or something, because this is getting very annoying

It appears they were fit just fine for what they were doing.

They're only "nubs" (I think I lost a few IQ points just typing that) if they lose. They got away, which means they won.

LOL pirate whining about warp stabs...
Really?
Sorry but there are counters to warp scramblers, train up for heavy interdictors like a man and use that. Problem solved.
Stop whining.

Is there a clause in the game manual that requires one to equip a point, web, 3x1600mm plates, 3xtrimarks, and +70% omni resistance? Because I find EVE PVP to be annoyingly boring with its "spray and pray" FPS to zero hitpoints method that I want to /wrist myself everytime someone complains they failed to kill a newb with warp stabs.

Every time somebody decides not to play the game "by the numbers," someone else whines about it. In this case, it's extra special because the post consists entirely of "I was going to ruin someone's day, but they ruined my day instead! I'm going to post about how bad they are for turning my plan back on me!"
That would be like a Suddenly Ninja posting, "So I was scanning down mission runners to salvage and try to make them mad, and I warped into the mission only to find they brought a salvage boat with them and were salvaging as they go! They're so noob they have to have 2 accounts to run missions with! Is there some rule that people salvage their own missions now? This is getting annoying!" Now, if a SN member posted that, would he get laughed out of the forums? Why, yes he would.
I'm no expert on fits, but it seems like someone did the math at some point and found that setup X for a given ship works well against Y% of targets, Z% of the time, where Z is fairly large. Then they posted it and the rest of the herd followed along. So much so that they don't seem to understand the X isn't the only setup that might work for something.
Dear OP: Someone figured out how to counter your extremely basic tactics. That makes them prepared, it does not make them nubs. You have three choices. You can either continue whining about how bad they are as you fail to kill them (which makes YOU the nub). You can adapt to the new situation and come up with something incredibly innovative like fitting a second point. Or you can write off the people who run with stabs, realizing that not everybody is going to fit to make your life easier.
I'm pulling for the first option, myself. It's entertaining.

One of my favorite fits for a typhoon is like a triple-stabbed Smartboming fit. You don't need to lock and I fly aligned in belts and wait for expensive frigates to land on me, or for Ishtars/Domis to launch their full flights of drones before popping them and getting out.
Obviously the guy counting down the timer wasn't trying to fight other ships, just count down a timer.
You lose.

WCS = blobbing = bad game design. Sure, you can counter WCS, but the best counter is a dozen friends with warp disruptors to ensure there's enough points on the target that no amount of WCS will ever save it. Is it effective? Sure. Is it fun? **** no. It's no fun for the pirates who have to fly in gangs all the time or not even bother undocking, and it isn't fun for the victim who gets killed 15 to 1 because there's a chance he might be stabbed instead of one on one where he might actually have a chance of winning.
The solution is simple: WCS fitted = -100% lock range. Fit even a single WCS, and you can't lock anything, period. No NPCing, no PvP, no remote repping your friends, nothing. If you want to engage in combat of any kind, you take the risk of getting killed. -----------

And to equal that solution is a warp core disruptor or scram should have a very short range measured in centimeters, cost huge amounts of cap so it can't perma run, and make frigates using it to have a signature that elipses that of a titan with a MWD on + rest of the mids devoted to large shield extenders II and a rack of lows full of inertal stabs II as well as 3 shield rigs with no rig compensation skills (EFT is showing this as 136,125 for a leviathan). If your going to play with gravity fields, there should be some risk of a nearby star crashing into you. There is a counter/penalty to everything, WCS cut any chance of someone targeting you at range which you can easily avoid by staying out of it.

WTF?
I see it all the time: "Those stupid carebears.... all they need to do is stay aligned and fit stabs. If they can't handle they, they should (break to emorage)GTFO! Hello Kitty Online is that way (break to emorage)".
Suddenly they start taking the advice and there is still complaining.

I gotta laugh at that. Bears get killed in lowsec by going out there in their "normal mission fit" (aka no stabs). Some (usually the idiots) will whine about it,, they then get told "there's stabs in-game for a reason".
Granted this was before they were nerfed to hell and back. But people know you don't PvE with a PvP fit (Ninja rant: Give us lowsec missions that need PvP fits CCP!).
Some smarter carebears are obviously finding fits that let them PvE effectively and still fit WCS,, and good on them tbh for fitting what they need to achieve their goal.
On a tangent, kinda makes me laugh when people look at ships purely through a combat-effctiveness role. Sometimes you gotta sacrifice optimal conditions to achieve other non-combat related goals, such as transport, exploration or escape capabilities, all of which are damned important. ---

Stop crying you nublets. If you can't catch someone properly you don't deserve the kill.
Of course there should be a counter to being pointed, warp core stabs. Just bring more points. You have 2 mid slots on that executioner, you could have brought 4 points, and there is no way in hell a rifter can pack 4 stabs. So you simply fitted wrong for this task, your fault.
Or bring a HIC
Or bring friends.
Stop crying because ppl counter you and you fail at catching ppl. It you who failed not anyone else.
Warp core stabs already got nerfed more then enough. Got Cooch?, solo PvP movie
