i found this bit of info and thought some people might like it
[ 2009.10.28 18:59:53 ] Carl Tremura > does the monthly system cost go up as the system is upgraded? [ 2009.10.28 19:00:07 ] CCP Habakuk > Carl: Yes [ 2009.10.28 19:00:29 ] Carl Tremura > is it a heavy jump? [ 2009.10.28 19:00:39 ] Carl Tremura > like a fixed multiplier or? [ 2009.10.28 19:02:03 ] CCP Habakuk > Carl: It is quite a heavy jump for some upgrades, like cynosural suppression (cyno jammer)
Quote: [ 2009.10.28 19:00:40 ] ElvenLord > flags dont show globaly or on scanner? [ 2009.10.28 19:02:48 ] CCP Habakuk > ElvenLord: FLAGs should show on overview, but there is a bug for not showing on scanner
Quote: [ 2009.10.28 19:01:49 ] Spazz21 > Habakuk, will the Friday testing also have useable Infrastructures or is mostly just bashing FLAGs and STOPs? [ 2009.10.28 19:03:18 ] CCP Habakuk > Spazz: Will include the infrastructure Hub
Quote: [ 2009.10.28 19:03:00 ] Carl Tremura > are the upgrades things you buy or do they just appear as options in the infrastructure hum interface once you are able to access them? [ 2009.10.28 19:03:32 ] CCP Habakuk > (but no infrastucture upgrades or so) [ 2009.10.28 19:03:48 ] Carl Tremura > we had the one for allowing jump bridges in our hub interface yesterday, but it had the yellow circle like a skill w/o all requirements met [ 2009.10.28 19:04:11 ] CCP Habakuk > Carl: you need to buy the upgrades, but you also need requirements for installing them
Quote: [ 2009.10.28 19:06:35 ] CCP Habakuk > nothing is really final, but the current prices are already quite good estimates this was in response to the previous statement where it was confirmed that about 20 systems would cost an alliance 6bil/month in fees, this 6bil is just the BASE fee not counting the additional you would pay for upgrades.
Quote: [ 2009.10.28 19:12:08 ] Carl Tremura > Habakuk... will you be able to add agents to outposts via upgrades? [ 2009.10.28 19:12:15 ] Carl Tremura > and if no outpost - agents in space? [ 2009.10.28 19:12:32 ] Mioelnir > according to fanfest no, not yet
Quote: [ 2009.10.28 19:19:00 ] Carl Tremura > Will current sov still hold after patch? [ 2009.10.28 19:19:21 ] Carl Tremura > I mean how are they gonna roll over to the new system from the old? [ 2009.10.28 19:19:37 ] CCP Habakuk > Carl, yes, Sov will be kept on TQ [ 2009.10.28 19:19:53 ] Aion Amarra > Habakuk: Last thing I heared only Sov4 was going to be kept? [ 2009.10.28 19:20:08 ] CCP Habakuk > specifics will be detailed in a Blog [ 2009.10.28 19:20:09 ] Linas IV > what happens to sov 1-3? [ 2009.10.28 19:20:21 ] CCP Habakuk > All sov-levels will go away [ 2009.10.28 19:20:26 ] Carl Tremura > So how will that work, will the proper devices just be seeded into position in the systems where people have sov? [ 2009.10.28 19:20:38 ] CCP Habakuk > besically yes, Carl [ 2009.10.28 19:20:43 ] CCP Habakuk > basically...
Quote: [ 2009.10.28 19:23:53 ] Carl Tremura > Will Upgrades be NPC seeded or must they be built? [ 2009.10.28 19:24:19 ] CCP Habakuk > probably npc-seeded, but i don't know exactly right now
Quote: [ 2009.10.28 19:25:09 ] Kleranna > Habakuk: Is it intentional that the sov costs are constant per system and don't scale with # of systems? [ 2009.10.28 19:25:33 ] CCP Habakuk > yes, Kleranna, this is by design at the moment
Quote: [ 2009.10.28 19:34:24 ] Carl Tremura > last question from me: Supercarrier upgrade for docking in station. Correct that only 1 will be able to dock per outpost? [ 2009.10.28 19:34:38 ] Carl Tremura > and no titans? [ 2009.10.28 19:35:20 ] CCP Habakuk > hmmm, no idea about this upgrade...

6 billion for 20 systems is quite a bit cheaper than now i think. I don't think people will be maintaining sov in nearly as many systems as they do now, people will have sov in station systems, prime npcing systems, jump bridge routes, and maybe high value moons if there are any.

maybe ccp should put in an allaince tax to. cause the people running these allainces need an easier way to collect funds. seems a little silly that they cant ingame.

i totaly agree with this .. it would be alot easyer to have an "alliance wallet " implemented into the excutor corps corp wallet . to pay sov fees with
maybe with a bill feature like with offices but for corps so each corp could be billed for the systems it has sov over

You mean Alliances with multiple R64 moons and collecting tons of rent is not enough passive income? Seriously, neither of these are going away so an Alliance tax is another drain on the individual players to their already fat-with-isk governments.

not all alliances have r64 moons and with the predicted fall in r64 prices its will back to good old ratting mining and plexing
so yes tax would be good

It seems grainsalt doesn't want to be taken along with Dev Comments
I found those comments fairly useful though when i first read them on SHC.

I don't think it really matter anyway. Even if a large alliance doesn't claim all "their" space do you really think they are going to let some no namers just move in next to them because they don't have a beacon set up? No way. I'm really not seeing how this will change anything other than some alliances coming up with quotas for their members to pay their gate fees (or whatever you want to call them).

I agree, as long as the costs for systems are not exponential, the large allies will probably hold nearly same space as now. Additionally it won't change anything. No chance to kill the hubs as a "normal" ally and changing Sov will be even harder. Once claimed who has the power an ressources to blob a system for 12 hours to change sov? For sure no ally with 300 people or less...
The bases will still be there to protect the hubs so its not going to be easier to kill it anyways...

Agree! Also like the idea of an Alliance Tax. Something i also would like is a fix amount of ISK for every char per month/week not only a percentage on the bounty u get, ppl who get their money by doing mining, production, research, etc. have multiple ways that they don't have to pay this much money.
