Don't those programmers realize that it is us that pay for their paycheck and when they make sport of us by dragging us 50km one way for 100 worthless rockets and then that 50km plus another 50km to another worthless can they are enough to p#ss off the Pope. Nobody likes to be laughed at and it's all the worse that we are paying for the priviledge. Keep it up and pay the consequences. |

LMAO, so you knew, yet time after time you go after that can far, far away because, maybe, very maybe, it could contain something worthwhile?
PRICELESS!

I laugh at people without AB/MWD and tractor beams.
I'd go on strike. Just sit in the station until the programmers capitulate. While you're sitting there you can mindlessly flip through channels on television. I hear that many people pay good money for cable/satellite television and there's never anything on.
You could go whole hog and just quit the game all together. I'd ask for your stuff but it sounds like you just have a bunch of garbage.

Edited by: K''uata Sayus on 03/11/2009 16:40:22 All those distant Missile Batteries and Sentry guns drop 100 of whatever charge or 1 crystal. If your mission has a bunch of these, then mentally gird yourself for this Herculean task of chasing them down.
You should be entranced by the scenic splendour of deep space and spend some time contemplating your mortality as you slowly move toward these distant diamond-shaped objects on your overview. I suggest listening to "Shine on you Crazy Diamond" by Pink Floyd.
Oh, by the way, you are too insignificant for Eve programmers to do what you say they do so that they can laugh at your efforts. This may come as a shock, but your lousy $15 a month has no effect on their decision making process whatsoever.

Probably. 'People who pay for the paycheck' are not really all that important. Most employees are much more interested in 'people who give out the paycheck'.

Or you can just spin your ship. Although you can also do that in space, it's a ton more fun while in station.

No, if you jump out of the system the mission will despawn in many cases even if you have someone/something in the mission area still.
It seems like only certain missions are affected by this. Usually if no one is in the mission when it's turned in and you are in a different system than the mission, it often will despawn.
If you bookmark one "room" you may be able to get back to that one area and might find wrecks, but any other "rooms" will sometimes despawn, leaving whatever was there not created by the mission lost if you didn't bookmark each pocket. The gates often times will despawn if there is no one in the mission area upon turn in and you leave the system the encounter was in.
I've experienced this many times.

You bookmark a can in each room. Then you turn in the mission. The deadspace effect that prevents MWD use goes away, as does all the scenery and acceleration gates. But wrecks remain, and you warp to your bookmarks.

I visualized what you just described and realized how missions made EVE from some sort of space VR into a space ARCADE.

I have had wrecks disapear regardless too after turn in but cans remain, so that doesn't always work.
