Hulls drop from Talocan wreaks, not the cans. They are are not wreaks as in wreaks from a killed NPC, they are static structures in the sites just like the cans, but have a different name.
Happy hunting.

Edited by: Shana Matika on 06/11/2009 10:14:55 You scan and find radar and magnetometric site. radar sites contain decrypters and datacores needed for subsystem and hull reverse engineering.
Mag-Site: You'll find cans you have to analyze and inside those you get wrecked, malfunctioning or intact subsystem relics. And if you are lucky you'll have a talacon Wreck floating arround. There you can get the hull section.
Now put up a exp-lab and reverse engineer those relics to get a bp. Wrecked will give 3 run BPC's at a very low success rate. Malfunctioning will give more up to 10 run bpc's at a better success rate and intact with up to 20 run bpc's with a good success rate.

so these Talacon Wrecks...
do they show up as a structure, or as the same thing as a can for analyzation??

Everything that contains items in salvage/Hack/archeology sites appears as can...

It's a can called something like Derelict Talocan Frigate, but you need to use a salvager on it to get the loot iirc.

Edited by: Jessica Fyers on 06/11/2009 17:00:50 Just make sure to have Spawn Containers selected on overview settings; both RADAR an Magnetometric have those and they drop the stuff used in Rev Eng jobs, but hulls appear only in the later afaik - and not always.
BTW: you will find that 1 out of 10 times, a spawn container is empty... annoying even if it only takes less than a minute to open them... ---------------------------------------------- Some people say you should fight fire with fire... Nonsense of course; you should fight everything with fire! |

*sigh*
ok, 1) not confirming, but I've been told that actual bpcs do show up in cans from class 6 sites. So bring friends if you want actual bpcs instead of having to reverse engineer.
for the materials used for reverse engineering:
2) From what I've noticed the wrecks (looks like a can but uses salvage, not codebreaking) show up only at radar sites (I've never seen one at a mag site).
3) The relics for subsystems come from archeology (so analyzer to open) cans in mag sites.
4) The relics for hulls come from the taloclan wrecks (salvager to open) "cans" in radar sites (random - some have one, some don't).
5) The rest of the wormhole sourced items for reverse engineering come from hacking (so codebreaker to open) cans in radar sites.
6) beware the extra defender that spawns when you approach the wreck at radar sites (when there is a wreck at the radar site).
7) you will need to buy high sec datacores as well to do reverse engineering.

I saw a Derelict Talocan Frigate in a Magnetometric site a month ago.
