If you have an issue that you think should be brought up with other players the CSM is a good place to look at. Petitions and such are welcome in the Jita Park Speaker's Corner.
I'm locking this for off topic.
This was in response to a thread in Test Server Feedback.
Let's talk about this.
Originally, it was named Game Development Discussion. It was probably named that because CCP was asking for our thoughts and ideas on the test server and we gave them our thoughts and ideas by posting in that channel.
Now, they have changed the name to Test Server Feedback. What's the difference between Discussion and Feedback?
feed+back (fdbk) n. 1. a. The return of a portion of the output of a process or system to the input, especially when used to maintain performance or to control a system or process. b. The portion of the output so returned.
2. The return of information about the result of a process or activity; an evaluative response: asked the students for feedback on the new curriculum.
Right, so that's what feedback means. Let's examine what discussion means.
dis+cus+sion (d-skshn) n. 1. Consideration of a subject by a group; an earnest conversation. 2. A formal discourse on a topic; an exposition.
Okay. So, what is the difference between discussion and feedback? One involves a two-way conversation between two involved groups or parties. The other involves receiving a product and giving input on it. Now, some may argue semantics -- which may be valid -- however I believe this is a smokescreen put in place to prevent the "earnest conversation" that should be experienced between developer and consumer. I mean sure we have things like Fanfest and stuff, but let's be frank with ourselves guys -- Fanfest is as much them talking AT you and blinding you with amazing and over-the-top and presentation. Sure there is a place for constructive input but where is it appropriated and relayed to the correct places?
Another thing is, we seem to have threads constantly relegated to Jita Park Speakers corner. If we continuously have game changes being thrown at us with little to no notice and we have live game changes to review and critique, CCP I urge you to please listen to us directly. We want to be your consumers, but when you constantly throw us to the wayside and tell us to "talk amongst ourselves" about it and have a small group of people who may or may not represent our position, that removes the communication between the developer and the consumer when we can more readily relay our comments to you through the TEST SERVER FEEDBACK channel.
You want our feedback, and we're giving it to you. Please stop bullying your player base. I have NEVER IN MY LIFE read so many threads full of angry people, ever. This is almost frightening to think that the game that I love and have invested gobs of my time into has the players polarized AGAINST the developers.
Please, stop doing this. We want you to enjoy crafting your game in the way you like. But we want to play a game we enjoy, and if you continuously ruin it for us by changing things so drastically that it causes balance of power issues and players who invest in things then have their major investments destroyed or maybe the investment in question has had its role changed -- you can't really call that a fair investment any more and it will cause players to get frustrated and leave.
I am not here to say I am cancelling all 50 of my accounts. I am just here to say that after reading through that troubled forum topic that you guys really need to listen more.
Thanks.

The real question is, Does Deja-Vu get Siig'd every time a Ship gets blown up around its Faction pod? _____________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008

Deja-Vu alright, but not the crappy meme you guys are running, but rather that this feels like NGE all over again...
Massive changes to the end game (Sov) and end-game equipment (Titans and Motherships), and when the playerbase reacts against the non-playtested parts of these changes, threads get locked and dev comments are few.

I thought I was having deja-vu...but it just turned out to be gas.
Granted the gas was very deja-vuish. I mean if gas can be deja-vuish, which in this case it can, so in this case it was. Pretty sure it can atleast. Otherwise it was some very strange deja-vu. Very strange deja-vu.

Purpleish. Very much purpleish actually. Maybe violetish. Magentaish possibly. No, definately purpleish.
Definately.
Yes.
Maybe blueish. Pretty sure deja-vu is blueish. Atleast I feel like I've said it was blueish at some point.

Actually, it started with Siig posting in the wrong place and me just typing out the same reply to both threads. Hence the Deja-vu started.
I hate explaining stuff like this. Ruins the fun _____________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008
