Lilly -
Have you found any takers?
Again, I want to thank you for this thread. It was timely and really hit a nerve.

this guy figured it out!
Maybe for some folks, but not for me. It may be that I am simply ignorant - which can be cured, I assure you - but I simply do not understand why a small corp that is willing to pay its own way (alliance fees, rental fees, contributions of mining and manufacturing and research efforts, etc.) is not a valuable resource.
It seems to me that the accumulation of like-minded corps is what alliances are for. If there is a reason that small (or tiny) corps cannot objectively contribute, someone please let me know.
Lilly - I will try to catch you IG to talk a bit. For others who have responded here, look for me IG and let's talk further.
Thanks. I'll add you to my list. Not been much on lately as I got some bad real life news. My dad got a brain stroke. All is now better however and I'm back to thinking of renting space :)

I did that with girls in highschool was good times.
For my corp we are pure pvp with little in corp industry. 9 caps in corp, and have lived in 0.0 almost exclusively. After some issues with past corp we decided it was no longer the place we needed to call home. So we are now building our own, again. I built my prior corp to 100 members before we left.
I have built and ran allainces in the past, so while we wouldnt be interested in joining ill be glad to chip in my 2 cents and help give you guys some ideas and suggestions.
I can also create allainces if you guys do decide to go that route just drop me a line and we can work it out.
Sounds interesting. I am not averse to joining an alliance with our corp. I am however not gonna dissolve the corp and move over. Too much assets and too little trust.. We all know how EVE is

Some of the most important issues for me if we're gonna rent:
- We dont want to be put in a warzone and required to defend ourselves. Yes i realize 0.0 is gonna change alot with Dominion and nothing is guaranteed. However, we simply dont have the manpower or time on our hands for serious and consistant 0.0 sieges.
- We dont want to be in direct competition with resources with other "tenants" or "landlords" in the system. Sharing a system is ok. But we would only want to do that as long as we dont step on each others toes too much. For instance: If we have level 1 mining upgrade so 1 belt spawns and we both want to mine ark, trouble is bound to occur.
Basically we would want a system that we can mine, wormhole fun, explore, rat and even do some PvP operations out of. We are willing to share this with others, as long as we dont step on each others toes too much. At the same time this system should be as "safe" (yes its a relative term in 0.0, I know..) as not to need us to do PvP all day to be able to mine, or defend ourselves against other alliances all the time. Some PvP is to be expected, but not a camped system or capital sieges all the time.
We have competent industrial pilots, PvP pilots and explorers.
Hope this clears up what we want.
I'll be in contact with some of you next time i log on sometime this week :)

Just a friendly bump.
I have been a bit inattentive, but I do want to keep in touch. I'll try IG again later.

what we are doing is waiting for the 15th, and seeing if and how the map looks, then make a plan of how to approach null (either befriending a powerblock or taking a small piece by force...we hold no allegiances atm so our choices are pretty wide open). Being in a decent size alliance helps :) .

Seems there are a few renters out there (we're in dialog with two of them now).
However, do people think the map is gonna change alot around the 15th? I got a feeling there will be some huge battles around the christmas weekend and things might change alot..
