What science have you got to support your position? None! No science, no social or economic data. You got nothing!
All that film does in try and feed into the basic fears of many Americans, that climate change is a left wing conspiracy, with only detrimental effects to the economy and their basic rights. It's laughably stupid as it contains no evidence to support any of these assertions, and yet your average spitoon spitting redkneck laps it up, because he has already made up his mind, and will never do his homework.
Hey man, I will get some statistics for you.
As soon as I am done altering this computer program here to cook the books a bit, bury some other data that does not work in my favor, and use some infighting to cast out anybody in my science field that does not agree with me.
Oh wait, your guys were already caught doing that.
Sucks to be on the dark side when it's losing, eh?
So again, you have no science, no economic or social data to support any of your arguments, correct? You just blindly disagree with what 97% of science says? Brave man?
Don't play this game with me.
YOUR scientists got caught lying. 97 percent? They had the power to block any scientists that disagreed with them by denying them peer review. You science comes from a pack of liars who illegally destroyed documents sought under FOIA which is a felony by the way.
I know this trick. You would have me spending hours posting proof that is already available and it still won't stand up to your brainwashed perception and circular thinking. I have seen this before, no matter what I do you will act like you are not convinced. What number tactic is that? Is that right behind resorting to name calling or is it after smearing the source?
No, we are not going to be tied up by you people any more. I will spend those hours spreading the word about Climategate. No energy will be tied up by the likes of you in these Forum Tactics. I don't have to do a damned thing to your "demands" so you can cry all you want.
We are going around you. You lost.
What proof that is readily available? The 'scientists' and 'documentaries' you have posted so far weren't meant to be? So why did you post them? Is that it?

Baltec you are so full of c-r-a-p, I had to come back to this thread and school you.
Herzog has owned you and the rest of the AGW crowd in this thread.
Climate gate proved there is collusion, corruption, conspiracy, bullying and falsification of science for their own agenda, when a "lack of decline was a travesty" and the quotes could continue forever. I won't even touch the FOI data destruction, which is a criminal offence. So whenever you quote some "source" that is connected to the corrupt EAST ANGLIA CRU, it is a laughable joke. This goes for rest of you AGW crowd also.
There is no provable connection to Man Made carbon emissions causing an increase in temperature and the FACT IS that CARBON FOLLOWS TEMPERATURE. FACT! The ice record shows that AND Al Gore's Data shows that also, except he doesn't mention that in his presentation, of course.
Climate always changes and if there is a slight rise in temperature then that's the way the world works, because Man Made Carbon Emissions do not influence the planet, they are 1% of the total carbon input IF THAT.
Here's a doco for you all.

Didn't realize I would have to don my tin hat before watching this 'documentary'of yours. Would have been nice to be warned. This so called documentary is no different from the The Great Global Warming Swindle, full of lies and a cast of the discredited. In fact a good percentage of them show their faces in that piece of drivel as well. I would have thought after the pasting you have received so far you would have the smarts to to check your science and cast, but no... Fred Singer, Lord Monckton, Richard Lindzen, Tim Patterson I could go on
In just the first 12 minutes alone the following topics are lied about, compare my resources with those of the film. The documentary is old hat even for sceptics. It's only the gullible and those new to the domain of being a sceptic who might hang their hat on it. What does the lag of CO2 behind temperature in ice cores tell us about global warming? The lag between temperature and CO2. (GoreÆs got it right.) How much of the recent CO2 increase is due to human activities? and How do we know that recent CO2 increases are due to human activities? Water vapour

I lived in Florida for 9 years and did a great bit of SCUBA in the caverns.
That peninsula was underwater for a long time. It's a reef that got pushed out of the sea. During the Ice Age - something our government was saying we were headed for back in 1975 - those caves were occupied by natives. Some of them still have the artifacts down there.
So, once upon a time those caves were dry, then they filled up with water. Florida is at best 6' above sea level and according to your religion the water level should be rising.
Wonder what happened. Were the natives driving SUVs around? Don't recall any SUVs back during the Ice Age. Maybe it was Wooly Mammoth farts.
Of course, now that AGW cannot be trusted as a science - and lets pretend we don't see all that "going green" crap resulting in corporate profits for those same people who the greentards say they are trying to save us from - what is the next Shtick? It's going to be hard to be like: "UH, so there is no man-made global warming, and the world is getting cooler now... uh..... capitalism is at fault!"
Did anyone notice that the solar activity of the sun - you know those particles that impact the upper atmosphere and create heat - has been the lowest for as long as they are recording it? Nope? Wonder why?
Mammoth farts.
Hey Locus, you want to go into tinfoil comments? There is no conspiracy because we all know about it and those who are exposing the green fanatic movement can cite proof. Where is the proof from the likes of you?
Oh, you got decades of data from East Anglia?

Locus, we've told you several times now, it's no use linking to discredited client scientists who have had to resign due to leaked emails proving corruption, fabrication of data and all out lies. For some reason you keep linking sites which have the CRU as their main source.
It's all bogus crap!
Now as for you explanation on the lag of CO2 as being normal, the linked article is pure straw grasping. And I love the part which states "Some (currently unknown) process causes Antarctica and the surrounding ocean to warm"
It's kinds of like "[insert miracle here]" in a maths equation. Which pretty much sums up AGW.
Pull you head out of the sand and come join the reality of the climate con (sounds more like global governance, Copenhagen anyone?)

Thanks for the question Dramaan. Many of us here don't deny there may be warming. The figures show that the earth cools and warms in different cycles over time and that the earth has been heating over the last hundred years or so but only by a small fraction.
Our main point is that carbon follows temperature and even if it didn't, man does not contribute enough carbon into the atmosphere to cause a warming effect and that a Carbon Tax on 1st world countries will do nothing if 3rd world countries like china/india etc.. generate many thousands of times the amount of carbon.
The carbon tax is a tax on life, is a tax on living, is a form of micromanaged control over humanity.

My view on this..
I dont think we, as a human race, can do much against what nature/the earth/the sun can and might do.. **** has happened throughout earth's history, and will prolly continue to happen, no matter if you drive a prius or a big truck.. That being said, i do my share of recycling. But i dont think it will have any major impact on anything

What I posted about CO2 acting as an amplifier here it is again in another form for you. You can suggest that man has had little or no influence, but you need to supply evidence this this to back up your claims.
What exactly from the leaked emails have you found that brings down all the science that supports climate change, even in that of the 6 scientists the emails correspond to? Yes they acted unethically with trying to stop FOI requests, and they overstepped the mark with attempts to manipulate the peer review process. Unethical yes, illegal probably not. The sceptics should be allowed to hang by their own rope, climate science needs to be as clean as possible. The world of science, like all academia is full of jostling, infighting, criticism, sometimes even hatred. The area of climate science is no different. What 6 scientists are you talking about? The only 1 who has temporarily stepped down is Phil Jones.

The dust from the forest fires took a long time to be deposited but as they did the melting that had been happening took hold again. The recent warming in human history has been far too rapid to be natural and since sun spots have now been proven to have no impact upon the climate and earth orbit has not changed it must be something else. Volcanic activity is also normal and does not account of the warming so that leaves human activity which is having such a large impact geologists have started calling it a new age of geology called The Anthropocene age.
Latest projects are for a 1.5 meter rise in sea level that is pretty much unavoidable at this point. We all remember New Orleans, that city is still a shatted shell of what it once was. Even if we ignore the pacific island nations that are going to vanish, the 20 million in Bangladesh and other poor nations it is still going to cost the west trillions to update all of the costal defences to cope with higher seas. The idea that governments are going to be making money from climate change is just wrong.

Agreed and so will I. How is what I am saying ignorant? Do you understand the meaning of the word? It means lack of knowledge or education about a particular subject. I am simply saying I dont care if my lifestyle kills others 3 generations away, I have no intentions of changing my life. Any why would it possibly make any difference to me what you or anyone else would think. Just what is it you think I actually owe to you or anyone else that I should change anything? I simply just don't care and you can't make me. And you know what? Do you really think I am the only one who thinks like this? Go on and try to tell someone, anyone that they have to give up their job to save the planet and see what they say too.
And my SUV still rocks. Beautiful Jeep Liberty with all the goodies. Goofball...
Although I dislike you, your attitude and pretty much everything you have said I kind of agree with you.
I have heard the evidence for and against global warming and although I believe in it, I couldn't give a monkeys as I will be dead by the time it really kicks in.
I guess the clincher is that I don't have children, so it doesn't bother me in the slightest. If I do have children and grandchildren then I would think about recycling and green, but draw the conclusion that unless all the greedy americans and powerful chinese change their ways then we have no chance anyway so what's the point. And why should China change it's ways just because the good ole us of a r a p ed the planet and now suddenly doesn't want anyone else to do the same so their own people may enjoy the rest of THEIR time?
USA can't even win a war in a third world country such as Afghanistan, they wouldn't stand a chance when the tide turns and wars break out over food and water. Enjoy your SUV and airconditioned office whilst it lasts. I know I will.

I can understand if you dislike and disagree with what I said, but it's no real reason to dislike me. I am actually a very nice guy. My point really is that things are how they are and there are just way too many people in the world to solve this even if it really is a problem. For all the crap and talking I dont believe people are really prepared to do what is really necessary to make a true change, again even if there is a man made problem. How many people are willing to give up their jobs and lives as they know it? Especially when they see so many in the world unaccountable to anyone. And if those changes are so drastic, who will want to live without having a life?
I am 52 married 31 years, no kids by choice. I made my choices in life to do what is best for me and my wife. That's how it is. I will be dead in 20, 30 years so I just don't care. There are countries full of nothing but breeders who will just add more fuel to the fire without me and my Jeep. But people are nuts, its so easy to push buttons on this subject. All the environment losers are just wasting their breath. Do gooders and fairies. The planet will sooner or later breed itself into starvation and death. It's only a matter of time...

Yeah ok true there is no evidence to actually dislike you personally and I apologise for that. I dislike the things you said, but shouldn't have made such a sweeping statement :)
You are right about there being too many people in the world. Why the government (in my country at least) should continue to support couples that have more than one offspring each is beyond me. There just isn't room. |
