Jarec has a problem...and that problem is major misdirection. Every time I decide on a path to go, something new grabs my attention and I flutter around with my skills for a while. I know this is the absolute wrong way to do things, and its starting to feel like my character has no direction. I'd like to reach out to the community and ask, "Where should I be?" I know I'm a combat pilot, but of what? What direction should I take with this character, I'm having some trouble choosing. Thank you very much in advance!

You don't look that spread out to me to be honest, and really there's nothing wrong with being jack of all trades master of none.

I'd work on your drones. Get that upto 5 with drone interfacing reasonably high after that and then get gallente/minmatar drone specialisation

Are you having fun? Is there something else you want to try? Is there something you want to be better at?
Jack of all trades and master of none. Yup, that's me, but I'm still having fun, and I have a lot more level 0 skills to train still. So far 204 trained: Skills at Level 1: 6 Skills at Level 2: 85 Skills at Level 3: 42 Skills at Level 4: 36 Skills at Level 5: 25

Hope this makes you feel better
You know there are some people who play this game to have fun and fly what they want (me for example) and then you have the guys who spec in everything and try to be "the best". As long as you are having fun and the money is coming in then I dont see a problem. Make the Beership a reality! |

Being that you're very combat oriented, either start running missions, roam around lowsec with friend/corp in a lovely rifter for pvp, or possibly get into faction warfare. If you want to branch out of the combat sphere for a bit, try out exploration in a cov ops ship, which would also be great should you desire to fly around cloaked. Drop your name off in the recruitment sub forum as well to find some people that revolve around what you enjoy doing in game as well to increase this fun and maybe get a better sense of which direction you want to go.
Personally, I'd train the rank 1 learning skills to 5 and rank 3 to 4, spaceship command to 5 for a bit more agility, get the shield/armor compensations skills for whichever you tank with, and especially train up the drone skills a lot. Just remember to focus on what you have fun doing and help it revolve around with what you train. ---

I've tended to find the most focussed way to train is to built a fit for a ship andf then work on the skills that help you to use that fit and improve it.
Then find any other fits of that ship and do the same.
After that have a look through the support skills and see which ones will improve the ships you fly, spend a bit of time on those.
Then choose another ship and go through the process again.
Over time as you do longer and longer skills other support skills start to look like better and better value for your time, for example after putting 17 days into Large Energy Turrets I'll be ready to put another 21 days into maxing out the rest of my gunnery support skills.

You're minmatar...you're supposed to be all over the place. =D
Really though, you're not too bad off. Just grab 1 specialization and then jump around from there.

Nothing wrong about your sheet, as long as you are having fun, that's all that matters. Do some more drone skills and max your fitting skills, electronics, engineering, etc.
Here is my sheet Brakus Vendi all over the place. Only Chuck Norris can divide by zero. 01010010 01001001 01010011 01001011 |

The good thing about the thread is: Your trying to focus on the future with a pretty damn good base of skills .
To me you need to figure out if your gonna fly battleships and bigger , or battlecruisers and smaller .The weaponry is quite different for the 2 and the time spent is important for the near future.
Until you figure that out , you cant go wrong by training some learnings , or tanking skills , or weapons support skills .
Drones 5 stands out to me personally , but I recommend you pick some lvl 5's that are most important to you. The thought process of commiting to them means that you do have a goal in mind .
