I seem to be lagging in DPS compared to my fellow corp members. Currently I'm flying a fully T2 Harbinger, and am looking to train the skills that will maximiz my DPS.
If you would be so kind as to look at my skills sheet, http://www.eve-sheet.com/skills/milesp, and tell me if you see any holes or skills that need more training, I would be grateful.
Please note that I am referring mainly to gunnery and am well aware that my drone skills are lacking at the moment.

Rapid Fire V Surgical Strike V have a very significant impact on your gun damage
Motion Prediction may also help when tracking is the issue limiting your hit quality. But Rapid Fire and Surgical Strike for sure.

Look up the certificate named Turret Control under the Gennery section in the certificate planner.

The Harbinger has a sizable dronebay, without proper drone skills you're losing out on ALOT of dps. You're aware of that however.
Your battlecruisers skill is at a mere lvl 2, you need to get this to IV (and V preferably) to start dealing any decent ammount of DPS. You have a fair bit left to do in the gunnery department aswell.

Wow, I do see that the Harbinger gets a nice dps bonus from the battlecruiser skill. I'll make training that a priority. Also, I see training up surgical strike and rapid fire should be done soon. I'll also do drones.
Anything else you guys notice?

Medium Pulse Spec IV will help.
Indirectly, weapon upgrades V then advanced weapon upgrades to IV (short term at least) will allow you to fit more stuff around your guns, so you'll either be able to fit more damage mods or survive long enough to do more damage.
Also you are using energy weapons without controlled bursts and you only have the two cap skills to 3. I can see you capping yourself out a lot. Train them all to 4 or preferably 5 and you'll be able to sustain gunfire for longer.

Energy Management / Rank 3 / SP: 24,000 of 768,000 / 3.1% Energy Systems Operation / Rank 1 / SP: 8,000 of 256,000 / 3.1% Here i wanted to paste your controlled bursts, BUT U DON'T HAVE IT.

Edited by: Darthewok on 02/12/2009 11:45:20 If you want to be totally perfectionistic about it, 1) Load your fit on EFT, look at the ship stats with all level 5 skills. then set it back to your character's skills to see the difference (eg. the gap from all level 5 skills' DPS, the gap in speed, EHP etc.). 2) Then mess around with the skill levels on your character in EFT to see what you still need to get to the aspect(s) of the level 5 performance you desire. it also helps to right click on relevant mods to show relevant skills affecting it. 3) After you've messed around with the characters skill level's in EFT, you can simply reset it by doing an API pull.
This method shows the exact impact on each of your skills on ship performance, allowing prioritization. It's more accurate and scientific than just guessing impact from skill descriptions. For example, you'll probably realise turret specialization 5 and drone specialization 5 only adds few points to DPS while ship skill level (for bonused ships), drone interfacing, rapid firing and surgical strike are biggies.
PS: Drone Interfacing adds a lot to drone DPS. If level 5 is too long a wait, at least level 4.

There's alot of ways to do more damage per fight besides rof and damage % in case you EFT warriors didn't know.
