I have opened the Jukebox, and its EMPTY !
I am used to it containing like 50+ tracks of EvE music .. randomly scrambled every time you log on.
But now when I open the Jukebox .. there are NO TRACKS !
How do I get these tracks back .. ok its nice to be able to sort them up .. and maybe load your own songs .. but I like the EvE music .. and I would like to be able to play these songs.
I must be doing some mistakes .. load them up myself from somewhere ?
To those people who know .. please advice.
Thanks in advance

Go to your EVE installation dir and then /res/Audio/Jukebox
There should be a huge list of MP3's and an "inflight.m3u" there. Try playing the inflight.m3u in your regular player, if that doesn't play, re-crate the playlist with the usual tracks, etc. Or just create your own there. _

Stupid thing to suggest but I found the soundtrack didn't show up until I enabled audio. I don't think it even shows if you have audio disabled in options.
On a similar note, are my ears deceiving me or is the quality of the music much MUCH better now it's in a new format. People joke about disabling the soundtrack but after a year or so playing I still love it to bits. Seems now I can hear much more depth in the individual notes and the sound just seems wider.

More like you can hear the compression better. They switched from ~50kb/s Vorbis to ~50kb/s, 16000hz, MP3 / VBR V9...
Comeon CCP, you surely can do better then this for the awesome music? Or just make an mp3 pack avaidable so we can replace the crappy encodings with better ones ourself if you are worried about the added size... _

Edited by: Idicious Lightbane on 01/12/2009 21:15:10 Tbh 50 Kbps is unacceptable, try listening to any song you rip off of a cd and converting to that low MP3 in, it's absolutely horrible. I'd love to hear these in their original WAV files, or otherwise in a 320 Kbps MP3 version.
