Right click the jukebox and open playlist
Then input the path to the directory where the music is stored.
Something like this C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\res\Audio

So far I've made no progress in using custom music. I can create a new m3u playlist, saved it in any folder, but it will only show songs that are part of the eve client, any other song of mine in the playlist will not show in game, only ccp's. I would say as of right now its broke. I've tried copying the ID3 tags, file naming, vbr to cbr, nothing seems to matter. So ccp get on it. Its broke.

Works fine for me, Just made a folder, dropped the songs in it, pointed the jukebox to it and bam, custom playlist ingame. ------------------------- I'm not shirtless damnit! |

Your right, adding a folder directly is fine.. I don't want to add 15,000 songs to my eve client music list. I want to make a new playlist like the one eve already uses. I can make brand new custom list using eves music but putting my music from the folder of mine doesn't show in the list. But adding just the folder without a playlist works. That is what I call broken.

My m3u doesn't work either. And how does the jukebox sort the songs? Randomly?

using an m3u also works fine for me, i just tested it, created an m3u using various songs in winamp and simply pointed the jukebox to it, no problem whatsoever, hell, no need to have the songs in the same folder as the m3u or the m3u in the jukebox folder even. ------------------------- I'm not shirtless damnit! |

I can manipulate a custom list in winamp, hit save and reload the songs from ccp's music library easily and organized any which order i want. When i drop some of my songs on to the same list and save them, I get nothing. They don't populate in the very same playlist that the ccp songs are also in. 15000 songs vs you.... broken?

By default the jukebox isn't set to load a folder, it is set to load the eve playlist .m3u. So of course just dropping your songs into the jukebox folder won't automatically show them.

I don't know why they don't show up for you, But considering i got it to work within 2 minutes of tinkering, and every single mp3 i've added works while not a single one of yours does, All i can say is, You're probably doing something wrong, No offence intended, It just doesn't seem likely to be a software error.
I did a small test though, And like you say, Adding new songs to the existing playlist doesn't work, Creating a new playlist from scratch does work though, So try that. ------------------------- I'm not shirtless damnit! |

It does load custom playlist songs. You have to copy them to the EVE music folder if your going to use a custom playlist though. Any songs in the playlist that are outside the eve folder do not show up, only the ones in it.
On the other hand if you load a folder directly it doesn't seem to matter where its at and adds all the music you want but without any type of sorting. So it seems the winamp will for the time being remain as my music player of choice till they fix out of folder playlist linking.

It's odd though, Since for me the playlist works wether the songs are in the ccp folder or not, Submit a bug report i guess. ------------------------- I'm not shirtless damnit! |
