Sounds were fubar on modules.bnk (Active shield hardeners CPP you can search this over at EVE-search, ya your forums suck too). The fix (because CCP can't do it) was to rename modules.bnk. Now when you patch without changing it back, the patcher doesn't complete and you are directed to download the patch again. Which fails because you are now up to date but when you run the game you have a conflict. Using repair directs you to a 992MB download. I got a feeling the inability to patch or download 1 file is leading to a nearly 1GB download. Wow that is total suck.

Congratz for your flame post. YOu could just simply wrote the problem without all that flame around it. And you didnt even check if there was a simple problem like just a CRC problem in the patch download. Happens sometimes...

The error it kicked out had nothing to do with CRC. It was the fact that I had renamed modules.bnk due to it never getting fixed by CCP, when it went to patch the file it wasn't there and just stopped the patching process. I'm guessing it only half patched for Dominion, I was stuck in limbo. It wouldn't run the game, it wouldn't allow me to repatch due to the fact that it thought I already had. The repair tool told me it wanted to download 992MB of data, which looked bigger then the patch size and would do god knows what on patch day, at that point I didn't wanna mess around, I uninstalled Eve and downloaded the entire thing from the torrent link.
It would have been nice of the patcher to continue on with the next file instead of doing what looks like stopping and leaving a ton of files unpatched, then let the repair program download 1 file (modules.bnk) Or heck cook the repair program into the patch and download the complete missing file during the patch process.

So let me get this straight...
YOU, changed a filename in your EVE directory. YOU, fixed some issue. YOU, ran a patcher designed for a non modified version of the game. YOU, didn't fix your previous change before doing that.
How is it that the patcher FAILED? And why is it CCP's fault that they didn't put special code in the patcher to unfail Jin Turbo's FAIL?
Enjoy redoing all the checkboxes you deleted when you uninstalled.
