Just curious, how widespread it is, to be having dolls and action figures, of famous pilots? Like, in Tash-Murkon, when I was younger, you could buy all sorts of dolls, of some of the more famous capsuleers. But in other places, that sort of thing, doesn't seem all that common?
Like, I have a Graelyn plush toy, it is adorable. And I remember there being "Admiral Blake with Captive Evanda Char Playset - 9 blasphemous outfits!!!", and things like that? for little girls to play with, Mum wouldn't buy such things, she said they were foolish.
But I've not really seen such things, outside Tash-Murkon? Do other places not have dolls of famous pilots? was it just a fad?

Edited by: Alica Wildfire on 02/12/2009 14:32:22 From a very basic console of her ships-computer without anything in her ship actually working anymore and smoke and fire somewhere around she says as if everything was normal:
Yeah. These Amarr dolls were available on the market when I was a kid. Those guys are sooo old now. But I didn't like the Amarr ones too much for the males were all bald-headed and not very useful.
I really needed the hair on top of the puppets for they were so perfect fitting into the small childs-cannon I used to play with. The hair was closing the puppet between the "rifle" and the head so that I was able to put pressurised air on the one end and fire them over the field. The Graelyn puppet was not very useful with the short hair so I only was able to fire it not further than a few hundred meters. The Achbishop puppet was lost for I fired it into the bakery some blocks away and it crashed the window with his hard head. So I though it would be better not to show up and ask for my toy.

Never heard of it, but I'd be willing to bet whoever makes them based off of our boards could make a fortune off of me. I'd pay thousands so that I could have my own little Jade Constantine doll to spray every time I saw her defy common sense. And an Alicia Wildfire doll, and an Archbishop doll, and a Haralhardrade doll, and an Invelious doll, and sometimes a Serephim doll...
Capsuleer: "Logic is for lesser men." Me: "No! Bad poster!" *Squirts doll of Capsuleer with water bottle* "That's very bad debating etiquette!" *Squirts again*
Of course, there's also a few dolls I'd like to cuddle up to at night. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jakiin Holder Heir of the Kingdom 'Pacifist Reclaimer' |

I have way more than nine blasphemous outfits!
Seriously, though... these really exist? Can you get me one?
The closest thing I ever had in the way of capsuleer toys was a Flash Hyperion Vagabond toy, that you could light the MWD and propel at quite high speeds - they were really popular before one of the Ammatar Consulate staff took one in the eye and they got banned.
And of course, I still have the plushy Ogre II my sister gave me. Hey, wasn't there a "Lord Plush" a few years back?

I have an extremely large collection of 'dolls' made from finest biomass. Sourcing them can be a problem as usually the previous owner is loathe to part with their 'doll' but I have assembled a wide selection over the years with some choice items in my freez.. *ahem* 'doll cabinets'.
Probably the 'crown jewel' of my collection is a rare Archbishop 'doll'. Difficult to source given the propensity of the previous owner for travelling almost exclusively in 'Bashing Bishop'-marque Bestowers (cloaking device fitted as standard) but I was able to acquire one very directly some time ago when the 'doll' in question materialised before aboard an Armageddon-class battleship.
Incidentally, if Evanda Char would like a Rodj Blake 'doll', for whatever use she wishes really, I probably have several spares. They are not especially rare or noteworthy.

I have a couple myself - always good to have a spare as they're popular gifts at Minmatar festivities. I envy you your Archie, though - they're really rare. Mebrithiel Ju'wien has a collection you should probably see - she makes dioramas.

Oh, come now! I'm sure Lady Blake would adore this thread. After all, as I understand it, she's a pure-blooded member of the aristocracy, and it's well known that wives among the Amarr nobility continue to play with toys long into adulthood.

It's my belief that the Amarrian ladies need for new toys, particularly virile, healthy and male Brutor ones, is what sparked the Amarrian need to enslavement us in the first place...

Contrary to whatever your may have been told by people who don't know any better (or perhaps they do and it's willful propaganda): sexual abuse of slaves is not a common, or acceptable, practice.

While True Amarr men tend to allow themselves to age, their women maintain the beauty of their early 20's well into their 100's. I don't think there are many Brutors that would consider themselves to have been 'abused'. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jakiin Holder Heir of the Kingdom 'Pacifist Reclaimer' |

Now you're just trying to grab yourself a place in the next Princess of Pator book.
Did you ever finish reading that, by the way? I figured you'd be OK with it because most of the long words were ancient Amarrian.
