Now that access to Jove seems pretty much common knowledge, I wonder, was this intended?
There seems nothing to do in Jove, but you can rent factory slots (80.000 isk) and labs, you can visit (empty) belts, but that's it. So for that part, is looks like Jove is not finished yet, BUT it's so easy to close this access to Jove, why didn't they do this?
Because it was supposed to be that way?

Because the only way into Jove is to be moved there or by bug. All we can do is hope that CCP resets the factory and lab slots when they do open it up.

No, that's not the only way to get there, ANYbody can get in Jove, anytime they want

Just Change the Station of your clone to M-FDTD, self destruct your pod, and you're in Jove......
offcourse, don't do this with your main char :-)

I really wish CCP would post an opinion on this.
Will the slots and offices be reset when jove space is open to the public? or should corps start snatching up offices and slots in this new frontier?
Is going to jove space an exploit? will I be banned for it? |

Not much on the market, though, only some few (most likely playersold) items.

It's really not a bug. An employee of ours as well as several other testers found this situation in beta and reported it. Really all CCP needs to do to is do a filter on the clone station list until they are ready to open Jove space to the public. Maybe have a flag be set on your character when you arrive in Jove space of your own accord (jumpgates/jumpdrives). After that flag is set the clone listing would no longer block out clone stations in Jove space. I still have a screen shot up at our website of a *cough* non Jove station in Jove space....

Ok, so they put this feature in, on purpose. I'm very curious why we were supposed to find this 'work-around'. Doesn't sound logical.

What really ****es me off is that now, because of this security hole... all factories and labs are rented even in Jove space. That's really starting to annoy me. What is CCP waiting for?

A simple and reasonable fix would be to filter the clone locations against the list of systems you have visited.
And a reasonable rationalization is that a character must deposit a dna sample in order for a clone to be established. I would expect that it might be a common practice to deposit a sample with any medical facility as a matter of course.
Never hurts to work out the reasoning for a rule. Doesn't stop argument or disagreement but does curtail it a great deal.

Players are not permitted to be in Jove space. If you are caught there, you will be moved out - without the goods you've stored in any hangars you might have there.
If you create courier missions that attempt to send other players to Jove space, any losses they suffer due to failure to complete the mission will be deducted from your wallet.

It maby might sound stupid but Jove sounds to me a race that is been called to live to allow the strange apperance of GMz and other characters in game to assist us in our play to stay in character.
Thats why Jove are outclased in knowlage. This is why Jove space is not allowed for us players, couse GMz and Polaris are "playing arround" here and/or testing things.
Ofcourse just my 2 ISK.

Just talked to another player who was touring around in Jove space. It was amusing to hear most of the factory slots are rented - but if you hurry you might snatch up the last few!

People who have rented slots there have wasted their money. The leases are unusable and when the time comes for Jove space to be open to the public, any leases held their will be purged in advance.
I've also got some lovely beachfront property in Orduin, if anyone's interested...

There goes 200,000 Isk then :P oh well was worth it just on the off chance.. but still good to know where the good spots are so when you do open jove space I know where I can set up shop. Though if things go well with this new idea about slots maybe I will actually get a chance to find a station with a lab and factory with slots in normal space.

Well I'm a noob, and I am looking for a lab. As they are all rented up by the large corps, this impedes my ability to fully play and enjoy the game. I propose that all new labs have restrictions on how many a corp can own.
