When using combat scanner probes (haven't checked the others), when I open the map browser to position the probes in the solar system, the boxes with arrows are just one solid shade of gray.. dark gray.. almost invisible. Hard to see against the background of space, and even harder to move around due to being single color.
Not sure if this is a 'dominion' thing or if it's unrelated.

The other kind of probes have the same gray boxes. I'm not sure if it was like this pre-dominion. The moving boxes need more contrast against the background.

This seems to be a perspective issue. When you look at the probs from above they are nearly invisible due to the shadow of the bubbles/plain or whatever it is but if you rotate your view so that you are looking up at the probes they are perfectly visible.

I've found this as well. It seems the "shadow" on the plane of the star system does more harm than good.

If you have a low shader setting they are practically impossible to see. I have to run at medium shader quality (think thats the name of the setting).
Particularly bothersome when dual boxing with a prober, but I need a better computer so QQ moar.

Yup, the "shadow" is quite annoying, making it very difficult to see through and move the probes.

Yup. The arrows are difficult to see. This needs to be fixed.

The third poster has the workaround right though. When you go below the plane, the shadow obscures the arrows, which is annoying as hell. But if you flip the map and look at the probes 'upwards' you can see them fine.
It should still be fixed though where they are lit regardless of where they are positioned. ---

It's not dominion, that shadow across the solar system plane has been around for a while. I made a post about it some time back. It really should be removed.

Indeed; this issue has been around too long and needs to be fixed. |

Signed. Would love to see an option to turn off the scan probe shadows.

Its a thing that came up with the newest patch and removing the medium shader settings. On Low Shaders it gets near impossible to probe due the overlapping shadows. Simply set your Shader to High when probing and its fixed. There already has been a post about this last week. __________________________________________________
