Edited by: cheker on 08/12/2009 07:19:33 Anybody know - how switch off strategic upgrades? We are installed them, but upkeep cost is too much for us now.

Well, it might turn off if you dont have enough activity in the system too keep up the index...

Strategic upgrades:
Jump Bridge: 10m ISK / day Cyno Generators: 2m ISK / day Cyno Jammers: 20m ISK / day Capital Ship Assembly Arrays: 1m ISK / day
There is not an option to stop paying for them?
From what I see in corp wallet you can automate the sovereignty payment, but not the upgrades cost, so it should be simply a question of not paying them or paying only the cost of some of them.

It is one bill for all stuff - in my case: 6kk (TCU) + 10kk (Jump Bridge) + 20kk (Cyno Jammers) * 14 days = 504kk
So if i not pay - i lose TCU too.

Slightly off-topic, but one of the ideas was that the upgrade costs would be paid for by cost savings by taking down sov-holding poses.
In your case, I assume you haven't been able to remove enough sov-holding pos for the fuel savings to pay for the ihub+upgrades?

One thing a lot of people I am hearing did not consider is that they lost the fuel bonus for having sov, so yes it is hitting thier pockets.
My stroll around null sec I am seeing a lot of large and medium moon mining operations turning into small pos, no, or very little guns operations.
Depending on response time, you could reinforce these quick, leave, let them rep it, reinforce it a day or so later and so on... at least thats my plan :)
Sounds like to me, you shouldnt be holding the sov, units and such if you can not afford them. Maybe you should rethink your obligations to the corp/alliance or diversify and work harder to pay the bills.

that's how CCP sold the massive isk sink, yes.
alas it was based on what i can only assume to be one specific alliance. w/o imminent threat, a vast majority of alliances did not waste that much money.
but hey... if it's true that we can't turn off a 600mil/month jammer upgrade.... i'm sure we all love capital warfare. 'cause with the AoE doomsday gone, there's no reason to make it that expensive, to boot. - putting the gist back into logistics |
