Ever since the dominion patch, I have been getting these stuttering graphics when flying about. Usually my screen will flash some bright color (it seems to like yellow), and will flash a new frame every second or two. This can go on for up to about 15 seconds at a time. It almost always happens when I leave a station, exit/enter warp, or even when i'm just sitting there (gate camping and such).
Turning down/off graphic settings and effects don't change this. I have also tried reinstalling my gfx drivers and turning off compiz to no avail.
Using: Ubuntu 9.10 wine-1.1.34 ATI 9.11 proprietary drivers Radeon 4890

amazingly, this is not a linux glitch. I have the eve client installed on my wifes windows laptop and my brothers desktop. My brothers desktop is running XP and it has the exact same glitch that you talk about it. My linux client and vista client don't have that glitch.
The laptop and the linux desktop are running nvidia, the desktop that glitches is running ATI.

Edited by: tyrol on 13/12/2009 21:25:08 Are you in fleets when this happens or is it happening all the time. I dont know if its linked but I have a similar problem where my graphics freeze intermittently when I have my fleet finder open and im in a fleet. This happens on my 64 bit vista install and my ubuntu install. Its not my PC as I can run eve with full settings on max resolution and if I close fleet finder the stutter goes away. Im running NVIDIA

I suppose it is a good thing that this is not a linux issue, as that means CCP might fix it in a patch :D
*Edit: Sorry, posted with my alt. This is still Demogorgon :D*

i can definitely say that ubuntu 9.10 effects performance, and it's stuttering. I show over 80fps just like in 9.04, but it acts like it's missing 5 at a time every 60. disabling all desktop effects cleans it up, but then i lose all my keyboard shortcuts and window rules i've set up for certain apps.
