According to EBanks own website
It has only recieved 29% of the server maintenance costs for 2009. This late in the year to you think the current board will pony up the $213 USD in cold hard cash to keep the server going?
Where is Ray McCormack? Hasn't posted in almost 2 weeks. Seems his ban for comments unbecoming is much longer than ortiginally expected... or has he also done a runner with the isk?
Inquiring minds are curious.
Discuss.

By the way, although you don't deserve to be fed, your claims are false. And if there should ever be a situation where the hosting fees need paid and there are no funds available, I'll take care of it.
Edit: Oh and as always, thanks for worrying about us. We are glad you care enough to show your concern. Titan BPC Auction Thread |

Should the bank of AC155 be unwiling to extend EBANK a loan, there is methods to reduce our cost.
Here's a hint: Our largest expense is the SQL database needed to handle EBANK. We can compress that easily, cutting our cost.
And the server is being hosted privately, not at a large corporate firm. We can easily keep the site alive.

I have reported the OP for trolling, I have also reported him, for reporting my other post in cosmos thread, about flatulence; which gave me a 14 days posting ban. Also posting to confirm that the OP is broke, and is MAD IRL about Internet Spaceships!

Taikun has raised a very reasonable concern. Is EBANK paying the fee? or are they swithcing the host?

I don't see an explanation, a link to a post, or even so much as an identification of the thread in which an explanation can be found. I see a few people claiming that it has been addressed, which in a vacuum is pretty much as meaningful as a few people claiming that it's an issue. After E-Bank wiped ass with their TOS, though, you'll have to excuse me if I give the forum trolls more credence.
edit: unless you meant the bit about begging off AC155 was your explanation

It's also worth discussing what value E-Bank derives from the operation to continue to invest ~$300/yr into it, I think.
Let me try again:
The largest expense for EBANK is running our massive database. The expense of running it can be cut down by compressing the database and removing older entries.
The server is privately also hosted by a person that is a good friend of the board. If we are unable to pay for the server cost for a period of time, the EBANK site won't go offline.

Interesting... I have to raise this question now: Who is that person? Is someone previously involved with eBank? Is Ricdic? Is Hexxx? So people who are donating real money are doing it to pay one of you? Maybe one of your friends? The worst thing is it doesn't matter the answer you are going to give, since you lie whenever it fits to bring people's concerns down.
Edit: You lieing only means tha we'll not know the truth, doesn't prove nor disprove that what I've said is true. We won't know.

Wow, talk about speculation.
The person is not involved with EBANK, no. In fact, the person had never heard of EVE before we rented our initial hosting with him, which was our test-environment which we ran there for years.
The money goes straight towards hosting, and we spend 14 bucks on a SSL certificate some months back.
Wanna know who hosts the server? Here you go(I couldn't find the dedicated page he has to his hosting plans etc)
EDIT: Just to clarify: When I state that he's a friend of the board, it's due to the fact that a majority has spoken to him at least once or twice. It's only people like OZ, AC155(I think?) and Sencnes who hasn't.

Having spoken to your hosting provider one or two times doesn't preclude them from shutting off your service when your account becomes delinquent.
I know the friendly attitude of support staff may seem unfamiliar to you guys, but in the industry it's referred to as "customer service". The fact that they don't respond to you with derision and deceit doesn't imply they intend to run a charity.

I was looking forward to you rebating that you lie whenever it fits to accomplish your objectives or to bring concerns down to be honest, but surely you can't. On the speculative, it surely is speculative, and it is because I don't know what to expect next from eBank and because there is no way to know if anything of what you have said is true (maybe we can know that is him who is hosting the site, I don't know if it's technically possible to prove that, but we can't know if he is someone in-game). I have just ennounced posibilities, but the bad thing as I have already said is that we rely on your word and your word is worthless since you have outright lied knowing that you were in the recent past.

What have I lied about?
Sure, I went out there and said that Ricdic only managed away with 250bill-ish and EBANK was going to be fine. But that was before we had any idea what state Ricdic left it in. If you count that as lying, then so be it. I can't really do anything about that.
As for proving that he hosts it: Check the IP of w3bdevil.com and eve-bank.net. They are both located on the same ip-range.

But having dealt with the RMT aspect of things together with tellers for a long time now, I'm going to question this whole post.
First of all. I have yet to see a case of our system actually processing a negative ISK transfer. And I have no information that leads me to believe there's even code for it.
We do have an auditing tool that visualises the movement of ISK internally in our system. However all IP cross-referencing and the like is done manually.
The point about the deficit being partially caused by RMT is very valid. And the fact you refuse it is rather strange to me. Whatever information you base that conclusion on, I'd like to see.
As for us offering data to CCP, we do petition things every so often. However the data EBANK has in inherently unreliable because it can be manipulated with. So while we have offered CCP what we saw as benficial, they would be fools to take it.
Originally by: LaVista Vista Having dealt with the RMT aspect of things together with tellers for a long time now, I'm going to expand on this

The point about the deficit being partially caused by RMT is very valid. But that would assume we have missed GM reversals which have gone through the system and hasn't been accounted for.

Yes, well... if that doesn't prove dedication then what else? With hindsight, we might have been a little too harsh on Hexxx sending him on an exile path based on a purely subjective judgment.
In my honest opinion, Ebank can no longer ignore the benefit of reintegrating a brilliant mind such as Hexxx in their management team, furthermore, Hexxx will complement Ray perfectly.

Yes, I have no idea what I'm talking about. I certainly don't have several years experience in system administration, nor do I currently run a hosting operation. If I did I'm sure we would never suspend and later terminate delinquent accounts regularly per our terms of service. In fact, the internet spaceship sob story would probably be more than enough to convince me to continue providing you service at a loss.
Realistically, speaking to him several times each is the extent of your acquaintance with him by your own statement. I've still got a good friend from high school harassing me over a $6.00 dispute for a bnc account. Good luck with your "we know him so he'll give us free service" theory. I am sure it's going to work out splendidly.

I am someone that didn't watch 1.2T isk be stolen from people that trusted me and someone that is not encouraging the current theft proposals by EBANK. The only reason LVV did any of those things was due to his position at EBANK. Now that EBANK is an utter failure and currently coming up with reasons to wipe out people's accounts, I hardly think that is applicable.
What a joke response. What's next? -GV
