Edited by: Omal Oma on 15/12/2009 09:28:36 I want to move the folder from My Documents to a different location.
For the people wondering why, I have "My Documents" on a different hard drive from my program files. It's a slower, less responsive hard drive and sometimes causes interface lag when loading fittings.
Is there a way to manually move this folder? I've tried to find a settings file or registry entry but couldn't find anything.

Depends what version of windows you are using.
If Vista/Win7, then you can use the built in command, mklink:
> cd %LOCALAPPDATA% > mkdir G:\path\to\new\folder\CCP > xcopy CCP G:\path\to\new\folder\CCP /S > rename CCP CCP-orig > mklink /J CCP G:\path\to\new\folder\CCP
If you are using XP, then you will need to download the tool to make links (which is part of the Windows Server 2003 resource kit) : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9D467A69-57FF-4AE7-96EE-B18C4790CFFD&displaylang=en
Then:
> cd %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data > mkdir G:\path\to\new\folder\CCP > xcopy CCP G:\path\to\new\folder\CCP /S > rename CCP CCP-orig > linkd CCP G:\path\to\new\folder\CCP
Note: This is untested since the servers are down, but it should work!

I had a 500GB Seagate 7200.11 that got the class issue BSY error so i had to send it back for RMA, it had Label E: and stored all my games, programs and user files.
Now i got a new drive that i formatted and labeled E: and reinstalled EVE but nothing happens after the splash screen (runs in the background using under 100MB memory)
Windows is installed on C:
Any way to fix this or do i have to reinstall windows?

Wow, necro.
But to solve your issue, press ALT + ENTER after the splash screen. ------------------------------------- The system issues man. |
