Since Eve is so complex I am sure this might be an interesting paid feature. Some of us have gotten Chatacters from Eve market place and found out that they got a bad history. Or some of you have seen the errors of your ways and want a fresh start. So here it goes, if you don't like the idea please be mature with the responses, no need for flames or slams.
#1 This is a paid feature that will cost $50 and can only be done once a year. #2 This feature allows you to remake your portrait and redo your name if you want. #3 It allows you to move all your Evely goods to 1 station. The station has to be in .5sec and higher only. Sorry pirates, this feature is not for you. Also your sec status must not be showing orange. Sorry forgot what lvl you show up as orange. #4 Your Employment history will be wiped and only show you been with the default NPC corp from the start date you orginaly had to present. #5 All information that everyone has on you will be deleted. I.e. if they have you added to address book, they have personal standings and such will be deleted.
I know people will see employment history and may know but not sure whatelse to do there.
In a nutshell its to give yourself a new life and start.

I think this is a good idea, if it requires a $50 payment.
although you could just sell your toon and buy another one similar specced for less real life money so i doubt people will do it that often.

Say the toon is 30+mil SP. So $50 IS cheaper to start a new I would think.

I said with REAL money is against EULA. You are not allowed to pay real money for an Eve toon like off of EBAY and stuff like that.

Dude, I don't think he meant buying an account or toon w/ real money off of ebay or something. You buy a character with isk. But you can buy PLEX with real money, sell the PLEX for isk, then use the isk to buy a character. Basically, you can buy a character with real money without violating the EULA if you do it this way. However, if you want anything more than a basic starter character, it will cost you more than $50 worth of PLEX (or GTC converted to PLEX, whatever). I said with REAL money is against EULA. You are not allowed to pay real money for an Eve toon like off of EBAY and stuff like that.

'a bad history' referring as an employment history or bad history referring as the character's reputation such as scamming, corp theft, violated EULA agreements ie selling or buying such toon by illegal way. #2, remaking your portrait feature always is provided by ccp with a cost of 10 bucks so no longer will be aquired to have such feature, however, would be a great feature if there were no restrictions from changing your portrait from different genders, bloodlines or even your races. If no restrictions on changing portraits would be a cool feature. redo your name will only be encouraging scammers to do stupid things with their new character names so I would doubt ccp won't make any changes on this. #3 moving all your stuffs in one designated station will not be happening, hence ccp won't be supporting if you donot work and you dont get paid, and pay such fees in a real cash, and to move your scattered stuffs to that station. coding and modifing this kinda of stuffs will take ages to do so. Not will be very productive, and suicide ganking tactics no longer will be effective. #4 wiping out your employment histories also help scammers if they did something bad in previous corporations, so other ceo or directors can trace you or ask previous corp's ceo or director if they did something bad or did good deeds and such. and #5 you will remove these from your character sheets, and reset your standings or reset standings by corporation, or you could remove your buddies from your buddy lists. Above all these my personal thoughts about your proposals, simply you seemingly want to scam more or you are just lame carebear dont feel like clicking in EVE. and, who would pay 50 bucks to scam, simply the player themselves can make a trial account or start a new character to spy on other ocrporations anonymous. Just thought though you cannot do anything in EVE if you have plenty of cash to waste on your hands.

If you're buying a character, you're buying it's reputation, name etc as well. It's a fair drawback since you're allowed to advance faster in the game, most likely with your RL money.
Want a character with a name of your choosing, a reputation you like, good skills in the right ships and so on? Creat one and use it.

Think the OP was leaning towards outright buying a character from Ebay.
Its an interesting idea, but I myself would not spend even $10 to get my picture redone.

i like the idea and support it even tho i dont have that problem and i started my own character. but i got one suggestion from the original post instead of deleting them from other peoples address book that should be upto them ccp should send a death notice to those people and corp if they were in one. my corp got one of them emails once.

Sounds good. I assume that the movable goods to one station does not include capitals so looks covered. Why do you want to report yourself as an ISK spammer? If you are one, just stop spamming already! |
