Edited by: Hellfury Resurrected on 19/12/2009 08:20:20 Disclaimer: I'm pretty ****ing wasted atm, so forgive me if this thread isn't up to my usual standards,
So there I was in Domain. Successfully evading a R.E.P.O. wardec by being a whole 3 jumps away from Amarr.
Sick and tired of Empire Wars and all the bull**** that comes with it (read: neutral RR), we decided to focus on small gang guerrilla warfare for the time being. Cruiser gangs and Frigate gangs in lowsec/zerosec would be the order of the day until Alekseyev Karrde single-handed fixes neutral RR mechanics in a stroke of pure genius which only he could have pulled off.
So I roamed. I made my Incursus video without ever having really flown frigates in my life (what do you need them for in empire wars, really? And I did a pretty good job, too, imo).
So we roamed. We roamed 0.0 entry systems until I got sick of interceptor killmails. So then we roamed lowsec. We used BS, we used Cruisers, we used AFs. We basically had a ton of fun, and didn't run into any neutral Guardians, it was awesome.
There was only one problem.
The most convenient lowsec for us, (Ami, 0.4, 3 jumps from Amarr), was infested by a dishonourable pigdog corp called "Glauxian Brothers", a member of the terrible alliance Intrepid Explorers (maybe they were trying to be to "Intrepid Crossing" what Hydra Reloaded is to "Hydra Alliance"?) At any rate, this very terribad wannabe pirate alliance was very cap-ship happy, it seemed.
We tooled around this system all week trying to get a fight, unfortunately we were unable to get a good, fun fight from the locals (that's Intrepid Explorers alliance, of Ami solar system). On Monday we went there, my super-chill brosef Jeron kahyar and I, in Armageddon and Megathron class vessels of war, to making good, fun fights (~~~~~~). We were prepared to fight 3x Drake and Scorpion in the top asteroid belt when Intrepid Explorers (cap-ship happy wannabe pirates of the Ami solar system) warp in a Nidhoggur and Thanatos to the belt (wtffff?). Having no backup, Jeron and I warp out (since fail pirates have no tackle on their lawldrakes).
On Wednesday we went back, hoping Monday was just an anomoly, and expecting a Good Fight~~~~~. This time we went back in four ENYOS OF EXCELLENCE and a solitary Harpylawl. Intrepid Explorers (the very terrible, cap-ship happy pirate of the Ami solar system who you should all totally not visit and/or hotdrop) were there again. Provailing as we were against the 2 Ravens in our 4 ENYOS OF EXCELLENCE, Intrepid Explorers decided to warp in a Nidhoggur to the gate. However, a bunch of neutral ***gots (falcon, slicer, drake) decided to come in at this point and terrified the poor Nidhoggur into agressing out 4 Enyo into not repping the dying Ravens.
So then whilst I was busy elsewhere today, (Friday), Jeron decided to go back to Ami (home system of Intrepid Explorers, excellent PvPers who you don't want to hotdrop at all) in his Wolf. His objective was, of course, to get good fights~~~~~~~~. Their response this time, was of course to drop a Moros on a gate on our lone Wolf (c wat i did thar?).
Well, I for one, was pretty sick and tired of this ****ing bull****. However, instead of whining about it, I decided to do what they always tell you to do in Eve-Online: Adapt or Die. I chose to adapt. I hit up my super-chill brosef from Outbreak, Duncan Tanner, for a potential hotdrop. However, Duncan regrettably informed me that Outbreak had a very weak US timezone, so we would have to seek alternate sources of hotdroppage. Duncan was, however, able to hook me up with some contacts from Invicta.. -------------------------------------------

With the almighty power of Invicta. capitals at our back, we sent in our Epic Bait Fleet of Excellence, consisting of 3 Dominix and a Slasher. Upon jumping into Ami (home system of Intrepid Explorers, whom you totally don't want to hotdrop at all), we were able to pick up on scan 2 Scorpions, a Raven, 2 Drakes, an Onyx and a Hurricane. Not content with the odds as they were, Intrepid Explorers decided to improve the odds even further in their favour.

Of course, after they had already dropped caps on us 3 times in a single week, the fact that we were still willing to warp to a belt to engage them totally seemed legit and not trap-like at all, so they tackled us using an Onyx, and then immediately warped an Archon and Moros to the belt.
Upon instruction from my hotdrop-experienced homies from Invicta (whom I'm now brosefs 4 life with, btw), I immediately lit my Cynosural Field of Honour which I coincidentally had fit to my Dominix. In came an Epic Invicta. Cap-Fleet of Integrity to pwn their worthless cap-dropping asses. After the Moros pilot self-destructed (which Alekseyev Karrde is without a doubt going to fix single-handedly imo), we wtfpwned the Archon.
After much QQing in local:

The moral of the story? It's simple:
If you chose the life of the pirate, but you are terribad at PvP, keep your ****ing cap-ship compensation-mobiles away from Hydra AFs. Or else.
Once again with the disclaimer: I'm pretty piis-drunk atm, so if this thread doesn't actually deliver the way I intended it to, my bad. -------------------------------------------

I don't think I quite got the alliance name or where this happened. Very nice story, if I didn't dislike FOTM chasers and crapspeak so much I'd try to join you guys, not that I'm cool/good enough to get in.

Confirming that atleast I am a dishonourable pigdog and a very terribad wannabe pirate. Also, insurance was about to run out on those caps anyway.
Anyway, great fights/posts, I was entertained.

While they were obviously terribad, they at least had the balls to do more with their caps than station camping, not something you can say of most others.

Wow, I remember those guys from before I quit in '07. They were in some fail alliance called 'Ground Zeero' (yeah, i know) that lived in Irmalin. My old corp (Sybrite Inc) lived there for a while and they were all the same. Phoenixes with XL shield boosters anyone? They were cap heavy then but pretty fail on the whole.
Good to see they're still kicking though. Memories eh?

This is true. As lame as dropping cap ships on an enyo is, at least they were willing to do some of it off station, giving you the chance to do something about it.

I do have to agree as well. Having had the same thing happen to me (Nyx on a solo drake? Already kill some things, and it made me laugh, so tis all good), at least they were using them off stations and POS's and putting them in harms way. Even though for a single frig it just might be a little overkill --------------------------------------------
