K25-XD is supposed to have a fight with about 500 in local - most of us fight the lag though.
CCP - get something done. U'r game is broken in nullsec. _______________________________

sure... everytime you get into a fight the game desync's, its unplayable, and you crash cant log back in. then 5 hours later when you log back in your in a pod, and the gm's dont see anything in there logs. but at least the game is beautiful when your alone in local with graphics on.
right?
lol - sounds about right. _______________________________

lol - this is one hour plus later.
I spent it trying to log back into game. Each time I was in my Revelation during login screen. Each time I got only a black screen saying I was entering game for about 10-15 minutes before I gave up. However the last time I logged of I appear to lost my Dread.
This is a great game :p _______________________________

erm we was fine and erm this thread was started by atlas... derp derp
good fight tho guys well done
Indeed - I started it. It was accually a desperate attempt to get CCP to reinforce the nod in fast notice which I've seen them do one time in my years of nullsec warfare.
My hope was that we all could get a fun fight, and perhaps some got on both sides, but I'm rather sure as many or more never really saw anything happen. I spent about 1+ hour trying to login and was alive until the end (when I died during a black login screen) but never saw any grid. yaay \o/

Originally by: Nikodiemus The GM in system said the node was triple reinforced did he not? Triple reinforced node with 500 in local doesn't work you guys seriously ****ed up your game.
U gotta be kidding me? If that's true then Dominion really has messet things up beyond belief. I've played in reinforced nod with well over 1000 ppl in local and had very smooth gameplay - but this felt like an very much not reinforced nod with about 1000+, eventhough from what I saw we were about 500 in local. But that might have risen somewhat during the 1+ hour I spent with login screen. _______________________________

Originally by: Nikodiemus No, its true, warlock I believe it was, convoed some of the pilots and asked us to confirm how good/bad the lag was. This was while WI/MM/RZR were fighting Solar/RA and whoever I forgot before atlas got in. It was about pre dominon large fleet fight levels of lag at that point with only ~200 - 250 in local on a triple reinforced node. Very enjoyable and playable, like it used to be. Still plenty of lag but again, very easy to deal with. After Atlas came in the lag went down hill seriously and became again an unplayable non grid loading ****storm with only 500 in system or about that. The game is ****ing broken.
However, I do have to give points to CCP for at least sending someone into system (saw him on grid a few times and again, the convoing) and taking a look at how seriously Dominion broke everything and asking us how it was. Maybe they are starting to care? only time will tell.
kk - I belive you then. Let's hope the GM stayed and saw it go downhill then so they can admit to the problem and solve it, and maybe even compensate those with stupid losses without throwing the "we find no errors in our logs"-copy/paste-answer.
Hoping for some good fights where we can at least try to do something not to die o7 _______________________________

Originally by: GM Cloudy (as answer to my petitioned ship I lost during a couple of hours with a black-screen failing to login)
Greetings,
Thank you for contacting customer support. From the server logs, your ship jumped into K25-XD at 12.21 19:44. The server logs indeed show that you tried to log in several times. We trust your description about the black screen. But I am afraid that we cannot verify it was caused by a server problem or a game defect. Your ship would appear in the space once your character was selected. I am truly sorry about your loss. But under such circumstances, I am afraid that there is not much we can do.
Best Regards, GM Cloudy The EVE Online Customer Support Team
I'm sorry, but I can't hold myself from putting this in the open, since I think they to often get away without any official knowledge to how they "solve" this matters. Most of us nullsec players ofcourse know this in a personal way - but it rarely gets more than that unless the times we sarcastically quote their copy/paste answers about not seeing any errors in their logs. However that was not the answer I got this time as U see above. My reflection into how they answered:
From server logs they can confirm me attemting to login time after time.
They don't question this was due to me getting stuck in the blackscreen.
However - they can not verify if this error is due to: a) A problem with [their] servers b) A defect in their game
And since they don't know exacty where their product is broken - it's not "much they can do". This said as if it was hard for them to regenerate a internet spaceship that has no physical existens.
To us that tried large fleetbattles in nullsec after Dominion I think we R rather sure their game got very much more broken in this large scale fights, and since they claimed the reinforced three times normal they almost proved it themself.
I think it's very low from CCP to take our joy from the game in the first place with a product that can't stand the pressure of normal fights to expect in nullsec - and so much more low to take the trust away when they don't stand up to their failure. It's like it would be our fault in their eyes we try to play the game in the only way possible in nullsec.

Edited by: ByFstugan on 24/12/2009 17:27:07 hmm ... perhaps they meant my computer when they said server, that's why I typed "[their] server" since I wasn't really sure. But I never use to talk about my computer as "the server", so it feels like a strange word to use to me.
But in my case I had another client running also where the toon was in empire, and that one had no lag at all. Ain't that strange.
And when CCP talk about they wanna "maintain the credibility" and not "ruin the fun" it feels really like word even more badly choosen.
It also seems that it's only to CCP there is a mystery where the problem lies, and perhaps that's why they don't spend more time to solve this. I mean - after all - it's not really anything certain pointing out their game can't handle unlimited numbers of players in fights in same system. For all they know their logs show battles happened and worked, and losses in wars are what they expect. Nothing to see here - let's work with walking in stations instead and create a better product!
Merry Christmas to you to CCP! //ByF _______________________________
