situation:
Your getting shield bonuses and have just recharged the bonused shields to 100%. Your FC decides to jump you into fight on the other side of the gate. Your entire fleet now has to RE-Recharge their shield bonus.
This concept makes no sense. It's not really a bonus, if you have to wait for it to recharge. |

I support this fix.
The arguments or rather cries that whine about regen and hp being instantly increased with this fix are a simple example of lobbying. Both are the inherent attributes of shield tanks and this discussion shouldnÆt even be about ****ing with them.

Love how i get to live 10 milliseconds longer due to shield regen, that must be so overpowered. The amount of trolling in this thread is pretty dumb. You guys are trolls though right? I mean, people can't be that dumb right? Right..?
Oh and, supported, as long as we get to keep the original shield regen "boost". FYI, this only amounts to a useful level on SPR drakes. ---

Hp bonus script: Gives the hp bonus of X% and kills the regen of shield with x%, shield hp bonus added immediatelly. Regen script: Boosts the regen with x% and decreases the hp boost with x%, shield hp bonus added by regen.
This way, both the carebears, and the PvPers would get their choise. Ofcourse one can leave the warfarelink unscripted, so it would work as it does now.
This was a quick thought only. Readed this thread to the beginning of its 4 page, so I'm sorry, if doubleposting.

Shield tankers are already at a disadvantage since the best armour plate is almost double the HP of the best shield extender.
If people are worried about passive regen on anything other than a Drake, they really need to sit down and do the maths. Hint: peak regen is 2.5 * shield HP / recharge time. Thus a ship with 3000 shields and a 2500 second recharge time gets a regen of about 3 HP/s, or 3.45 HP/s with a fleet boost.
As for the Drake - just keep shooting it, if you can't kill the Drake find the command ship boosting it and kill that first.

To the naysayers: Armor already gets the bigger buffer, slave sets work on capitals (crystals don't), shield x-fers are stupidly hard to fit compared to RR. And now you want this BUG to stay 'cause shieldtanks on fleetlevels are totally overpowered.

We do quite alot of roaming in small mobile shield gangs, having your bonus disappear every time you go to a new system is really annoying and should be fixed.
This, along with the stupid-stupid cpu reqirements on shield transporters is probably why this is not as popular as armor buffering.

Regen is the core of their defence? Sounds like you haven't flown a shield buffer ship in PVP ever. A SPR Drake is not a PVP ship.

sure if you give my chimera extra mids to let me put on a warp scram like thanatoses can do with no issue and remove slave implants from buffing caps.

Agreed. Some people will pounce on an idea and bash it down as soon as they spot the tiniest flaw, regardless how good the idea otherwise is. If this is due to an inferiority complex, willful (but rather sad) trolling or just pure stupidity and narrowmindedness I cannot say. Every tenth post in these forums are like that, even from the CSM's.
Supported. The shield bonus as it is, is rather useless.

Hm I haven't checked on this in awhile. Unfortunately the previous CSM did not agree with me but I have received a lot of support both here and in-game so I am definitely going to bring it to the attention of CCP in Iceland and if necessary, will write a new proposal and raise it again.

This whole mechanic is kinda lame. Especially on the capital and super capital level, where you would have to wait four hours to get your shield fully recharged after a session change.
